Beautiful and unusual house to rent on idyllic Caribbean island of Bequia. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, sleeps up to eight comfortably. Good kitchen, large living room and huge veranda with hammock, commanding stunning sea views. Swimming pool, TV with DVD player, laptop with broadband internet access, washing machine, use of serviceable Land Rover pickup. Bequia has exquisite white sand beaches and offers superb opportunities for water sports including snorkel ling, diving and sailing. There are many great restaurants and bars, with a lively night life featuring local bands. In nearby St Vincent, you can visit the oldest Botanic Gardens in the western hemisphere, walk beautiful nature trails in the tropical forest or climb an active volcano.

A great villa on a fantastic island

We arrived early in the morning by ferry, 9.30am, and were met by Neil who introduced us to the deisel Landrover that was to be our transport for our stay. It proved to be an ideal vehicle. As we were so early and the previous occupants still in residence, Neil kindly took us for an island tour and introduced us to a bar or two and a beach restaurant for lunch. He has been in Bequia for many years and has many tales to tell.

The villa itself is in an excellent position with a wonderful view and plenty of breeze. A/C not needed when we were there at the end of June. The accomodation is as descibed and proved very comfortable indeed.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

This villa was a slice of heaven. The view and the breezes were fantastic! The owner picked us up at the airport, stopped by the grocery store on the way to the property and explained everything to us. He stopped by a few days later to see how we were doing and answere additional questions. The vehicle included with the rental was wonderful and saved us a lot of money! The 3rd bedroom is actually on the lower level and has its own kitchen, living room etc. great for a seperate living area as needed for teenagers or another couple. The gardener welcomed us to spices and vegetable which complimented the frest fish (mahi mahi and king fish) we were fortunate to get in town. This diving here is great (we dove with Antonio @ Dive Bequia) The Gingerbread House is very friendly with tables and chairs right on the oceanfront. Frangiapani has a great BBQ (stick with the fish) on Thursday night. Come here to relax and enjoy!!
