Mangobird is a charming, well equipped villa set in a flower-filled garden with private pool & Jacuzzi offering perfect accommodation for a relaxing holiday. The villa is fully air-conditioned with 4 bedrooms, 3 with queen-sized beds & 1 twin-bedded on the ground floor. 2 bedrooms are en suite and the other 2 have their own bathroom adjacent. Upstairs all rooms give access onto the front balcony with lovely views. All bedrooms have televisions, hairdryer & the master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe & safe. Downstairs offers an open plan living room, dining room & fully-equipped kitchen. There is a TV, CD player, DVD & patio doors open to both the front & back gardens. The deep covered porch furnished with dining table, chairs & wickerwork settee leads to the sunny swimming pool & Jacuzzi surrounded by loungers. The pretty rear garden features a covered gazebo with table, chairs & barbecue. The villa is fully alarmed. Towels, linen & a 6 day maid service are provided.

Mangobird is in an ideal quiet location on the popular Bon Accord villa development. It is situated at the end of a short cul-de-sac surrounded by a bougainvillea -fenced garden with tropical plants & fruit trees. It is less than 5 minutes drive from the airport & within 10 -15 minutes walk of the Caribbean Sea beaches of Store Bay & Pigeon Point with their beautiful white sand. There are several restaurants & bars within walking distance with the local bakery & fresh vegetable stalls a mere stroll away. Although a car is not a necessity, by car almost every good restaurant & supermarket is within less than 15 minutes. The island is only 26 miles by 8 miles & Mangobird Villa gives easy access to the many sightseeing highlights such as the forts, rainforest, bird sanctuaries, glass-bottom boats, fabulous waterfalls, picturesque fishing villages & the un-missable experience of Sunday School at Buccoo Reef. There are two 18 hole championship golf courses a short drive away.

Excellent Mangobird Villa

I feel I would like to share with everyone my feelings about Mangobird. I stayed there for 3 weeks in January. This was my 3rd visit and it just seems to get better. Everything one could possibly require is at hand at Mangobird and it is just such a pleasure to be there. It is such a relaxing place to be. I love the beer and fish. Pigeon Point is very close with all the fantastic facilities and wonderful beach. I cannot wait to go back I hope we will make it next year. Lobsters are my absolute favourite and you cannot beat collecting them from the fabulous fishermen at Pigeon Point, taking them back to Mangobird and cooking them. The eating is the best bit!! I would not hesitate to reccommend this lovely home in the ideal location to anyone who is thinking of going to Tobago. Just please do not go when I want to!!

Our Home to Home Holiday

We have booked to go to this beautiful home again in January 2110. This will be our 5th visit.It is absolutely fabulous, providing us with everything that we need. We love the relaxing atmosphere of the home and when we are not on one of the wonderful beaches we love lazing by the pool. The owners just couldn't be more helpful or hospitable. Our favourite pastime is having a "sun-downer" followed by a wonderful bar-b-que that consists of fresh lobster, red snapper, flying fish and whatever else the lovely fisherman have caught. Just writing about it makes me feel all excited and desperate to go there again. The locals are just so friendly - it really is total chill. When we go we are usually so stressed with the pressures of life that to relax in what we call paradise is fabulous. We have visited most of the island, one of our favourite beaches is Pigeon Point where we buy a jug of ale and eat the stone bakes that are filled with scrummy fish. It is so lovely to come home to Mango-bird where everything is at hand. We visited a huge villa last year as guests. It was enormous and well equipped but everyone in our party said that we would not swap the home comforts of Mango-bird. We have made friends with some of the neighbours. Angela keeps house most efficiently and any problem that may occur is soon sorted either by her or the management taking into account Tobago time! The pool is cleaned regularly and we have been known to have the odd coconut! We just love the ice-maker in the fridge and it is put to very good use together with the sound system so that Bob Marley is always on hand. It would be difficult to better this property whether families, (it is very child friendly) or couples sharing like us and we would not hesitate to recommend this lovely home to everyone.

Wonderful Holiday

As you can see I was very satisfied with the property even more so by the owners who were excellent to deal with (we had flight problems) and could not do enough for us. As for the villa its self, wonderful, everything we needed or may have needed was there for our use. Angela, the maid, was excellent and nothing was any trouble for her . We had a great time staying at this villa and I'm sure so would anyone, a real friendly place to stay and relax.

My stay at Mango Bird

My first visit to Tobago, the villa was not as I pictured it I thought it was on three floor. Excellent place to stay rooms were excellent all have ensuite shower rooms but we had a problem with the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms, maid visits 6 days a week, agent needs to be quicker with response times due to customers having paid upfront for villa. We did many excursions around the island also visited nylon pool. Visited the beaches close by store bay and pigeon point. Also when to Sunday School must for party goers.
Owner's Response: Apologies for your problem with the airconditioner in the bedroom . We were unable to get the repair company out since your visit was over Christmas. However, we have now purchased a large stand-alone fan for emergency use such as this.
Glad that you enjoyed Tobago and overall the excellent facilities of the villa.
