Built in 2007 this southern facing - all day sun - penthouse type apartment with fantastic sea views is located in the village of Seget Donji near Trogir. With very modern furnishing and fittings this cleverly designed spacious property is an ideal holiday retreat. The design provides for, in addition to a main bedroom, two large gallery bedrooms. Hours can be spent on the large balcony enjoying watching the maritime world pass by. The apartment is part of a complex of six independent ones - of course each having its own private access etc. A five minute walk takes you to the 'Lungomare' - a 4km long seaside pavement which runs between Seget Donji and the Medena Hotel complex; with all its watersports and other activities The property is an easy 10 minute drive from Split Airport - for those not wishing to hire a car arrangements can be made to collect/deliver from/to the airport.

Seget Donji is a traditional Croatian working fishing village which adjoins Trogir. It is also known as the 'Middle of Adriatic' because of its geographical position - exactly in the middle of coastline of the Adriatic Sea. Of course, the apartment is also in an excellent location for taking trips to Trogir (a UNESCO World Heritage site), Krka waterfalls, Historical Split (which also enjoys UNESCO World Heritage status), the Old Town of Sibenik and the island of Brac etc. Or, just enjoy the delights of relaxing by or swimming in the Adriatic (the area has 'Blue Flag' status - during peak times the specified safe swimming areas have life-guards in attendance).

  • The main bedroom consists of a large double bed, bedside cabinets, fitted wardrobes and dressing table - it has air conditioning. The two open-plan gallery bedrooms utilise the massive roof space of the property- both have Velux windows. One gallery room is fitted with two single beds, bedside cabinets and fitted wardrobes. The second contains a large sofa which converts into a double bed. This room has a 21' flat TFT screen TV and DVD player. The gallery bedrooms are on split levels and are separated by an ornate wooden banister. Air conditioning serves both rooms. A cot and a high-chair can be made available.

Notes: The apartment has magnificent sea views - please note that some 60 steps need to be climbed to get to the door. Whilst at first sight this may be a little daunting there is no doubt it is well worth the effort. The balcony exceeds 11sq m - so all 6 can sit in comfort and enjoy the Adriatic views. The air conditioned lounge area has a very comfortable large sofa, coffee table. A 32' flat screen TFT TV, DVD player plus music centre are provided. There is a stock of DVDs and Cd's for you to use - but you are welcome to bring your own. The kitchen area is fully equipped, and as described, plus a kettle and toaster. The rear of the property has a 20+ sq mtr alfresco terrace, with seating for 6, adjacent to a large brick BBQ. Those renting will be provided with details of an English speaking property management company 24/7 contact in nearby Trogir in the unlikely case of any problem. We feel this added service is an important feature and gives confidence to visitors that we care.

Getting to the Dalmatian Coast: Split Airport - a 10 minute drive from the apartment - is exceptionally well served with flights, including 'low cost carriers', from/to the UK. Options include; Croatia Airlines (Heathrow and Gatwick), Easyjet (Gatwick and Bristol), FlyBe (Southampton & Birmingham), Jet2 (Newcastle). Also Ryanair (Stansted and Dublin to Zadar (40mins from apartment)). Wizzair also fly from Luton to Zagreb (2.5hrs from apartment). Car hire is easily arranged; there are a number of internationally recognised companies at Split, Zadar and Zagreb Airports. The Dalmatian coast is well serviced by ferries to/from Italy into Split. Croatia is very proud of its investment in its highways. The newly opened A1 motorway, a wonder of modern engineering and a beautiful journey, has a junction just 15km from the apartment. Thus the adventurous with time or those averse to flying can now drive across mainland Europe's motorways; right to Trogir's doorstep.

Excellent first Croatian holiday!

Fantastic Holiday apartment! Directions to the apartment were excellent and communication between the owners and ourselves was first rate. We were struck by the cleanliness and organisation of the apartment - lots of extra little touches that made the holiday relaxing, especially the welcoming wine and homemade bread! The views from the balcony were stunning and you could see for miles and miles. Beautiful!

Attractive, spacious apartment with superb views

I visited this apartment in August 2009 with my husband and two children aged 9 and 11. We had a wonderful holiday. The apartment was very well equipped, clean and spacious with stylish decor throughout. We welcomed the air conditioning as it was a very hot week. The immediate area was pretty and quiet. The apartment was very close to a beach and the views from the balcony were spectacular!! Be prepared for a climb (73 steps) but it really is worth it. We hired and car and really benefitted from it as it made access to the nearby towns Trogir and Split very easy, they are both beautiful and definately worth visiting. Although water taxis run frequently so a car isnt entirely necessary. We also went a bit further afield to Zlatni Rat in Bol on the island of Brac (bit more commercial but fabulous beach with very clear sea) and Krka waterfalls (these were stunning although quite an expensive day out and was quite busy there).
The booking process was simple and friendly and the welcome at the apartment was lovely (fresh bread, wine and fruit on arrival). I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to a friend.

Excellent Apartment with a Fabulous View

The information and photos provided gave us a very good idea of what to expect and we were not disappointed. The apartment is light, spacious, clean and extremely well equipped. We were met at the airport and shown round the apartment on arrival- a real plus. There are a lot of steps up to the entrance, so wouldn't be easy for pushchairs etc but the position overlooking the sea and especially the balcony, make the climb well worth it. The welcome supplies were ideal and saved an immediate trip to the shop: a 10-15 min walk away. It's just over 5 minutes down to the beach (shingle and rocky outcrops) and 10-15 minutes stroll along the promenade to a couple of very nice and reasonably priced restaurants. We wanted a holiday which didn't need a car and this fitted the bill as we could get a little ferry boat to Trogir, Split or other islands, and everything else was within walking distance. Further along the promenade there were water-sports and other activities, and organised tours further afield. We can't comment on those as we were perfectly happy in the apartment/on the beach or in a restaurant. Oh, and the weather was fantastic if you like it hot! (Thank goodness for the very effective air-conditioning) Very happy to recommend this property to all my friends and family. A great place from which to sample this part of Croatia.

Had a fantastic time in Croatia and the apartment was perfect. Views out of the balcony were a 10 out of 10. Coming up from the beach and having a cold beer on that balcony was something special.

Great location with local quiet bars/restaurants and a great little boat taxi over to Trogir for the evening if you want something more.

Well equipped spacious apartment and local agent very very helpful.
