Komarna is a beautiful coastal village located 70kms (60min drive) from the Ancient Heritage town of Dubrovnik. This is a new air conditioned 2 bed apartment for rent with all mod cons (inc. sofa bed) so 6 people can be comfortably accommodated. An exceptionally large terrace gives you some of the best views of the Adriatic coast. The apartment literally sits on the coastline and is only a few steps away from a newly constructed promenade which is great for evening walks along the seafront.The Village Beach is only 2 mins walk away and the small complex has an indoor swimming pool, sauna, fitness centre, bar and restaurant. It is locally run so a genuine Croatian experience is guaranteed. Komarna is ideal as a touring base as Dubrovnik, Medjegore, Mostar, Ston, Peljesac Penisnula, The Islands of Korcula, Brac and Hvar, Makaraska Coast (Brela, Tucepi etc..) are all within a one hour drive. In short it is a genuinely beautiful location and the perfect base for your week in Croatia !

Komarna is a small village situated on the Dalmatian coast with an impressive mountain range backdrop and local vineyards. A former fisherman's village, its now primarily a summer resort for locals and the balance between summer guests and local Croatians is just right. It is friendly, safe and unspoiled. You will not see a ripple on the crystal clear water until late afternoon and snorkelling and swimming here are truly magical experiences. A holiday in Komarna will provide you with a genuine Croatian experience as the local Croatians who manage the property will take you under their wing, ensure you have a wonderful holiday and act as your unofficial tour guide. Transport to and from the airport (in a luxurious Mercedes) can be arranged to bring you straight to your apartment.   • The Master Bedroom leads out onto a private terrace with fantastic views of the Adriatic so you can wake up to unforgettable views every morning of your visit. There is ample storage space for a family holiday and a cot can be provided at no extra charge if advance notice is given. All bed linen and towels are provided for your trip. The apartment is cleaned weekly (even when unoccupied) and any extra towels etc that you may require are freely available from the local management team. All of the windows in the apartment have full shuttering to ensure shade in the day and darkness at night.

Notes: The accommodation provided is for up to 6 persons (using the comfortable sofa bed) in a purpose built 2 bedroom apartment. Dining table seats 6, the balcony table and chairs are for 6, with an additional table on the small Terrace. There are also two full size sun loungers on the balcony for your use and a parasol. The apartment is designed so that it can be totally lived in for 2 weeks by a family with all amenities on hand as opposed to 'just somewhere to sleep at night'. Microwave, Juicer, Iron, Kettle, etc. There are steps up to the apartment from the parking area and steps lead down to the beach and the swimming pool. At the waters edge, sun loungers and sun umbrellas are available through Villa Bili. They provide all the facilities mentioned in this property description. The indoor pool is available to guests (June to August) and there is a daily charge. Transport from Airport via Mercedes can be arranged upon request. Full Restaurant and Bar facilities available on site. Enjoy

Check in & Key Holder: The key holder is located at Villa Bili directly adjacent to the apartment. The management company based in Villa Bili will look after your registration and show you to your apartment. They will also be your unofficial tour guide, always willing to lend a helping hand. Should you need any fresh towels, bed linen etc during your stay the staff at Villa Bili will provide this for you. The indoor pool will be in operation from June onwards.

Local Hospitality: Villa Bili is adjacent to the apartment, and includes a local bar, a restaurant and a children's games room with pool table etc. Bili and his staff are always available for advice and to help in any way they can. You can hire a car for day trips and they will also assist you if you wish to hire out a boat. Sun loungers, bikes and jet skis are also available for hire from Villa Bili. There are a couple of bars and local restaurants in Komarna which serve delicious fresh seafood.

Other Activities: Excellent base from which to visit the Peljesac Penisnula, Medjegore, Mostar and Dubrovnik

My husband, three young boys and myself had a wonderful week in Komarna. We spent four of those days on the beach. The water was so clear and pretty and great for swimming. We also made a day trip into Mostar, Madjagorje and Dubrovnik. The apartment was clean and was very convenient for our family.

This is a lovely apartment, very modern with all mod cons, with great views overlooking the sea. The large balcony is perfect for soaking up the sun during the day or enjoying a drink in the evenings. There are two nice little beaches, one within walking distance and the other, a larger one, a few kilometres down the road.

It is conveniently located, close to Dubrovnik, and a good base for day trips to Mostar, Medegoria etc. and the islands.

You will need a car to get around. We rented one at the airport but the apartment complex management also have cars to rent.
