Thanks so much for a wonderful holiday

We loved our time in Postira, at this great little house. It was clean and the location spectacular - right on the Adriatic. The road outside was quiet - no noise to wake us. Pretty much ideal with a small shop 5 minutes walk down the road and a wine seller across the road!
We pretty much spent our time on the back terrace on the sunloungers, lazily swimming in the beautiful sea when we felt like it. This is not a holiday home for those who need lively nightlife or clubbing, but it was perfect for our family who enjoyed the time alone together in tranquil surroundings, swimming when we felt like it, eating when we felt like it and dining out when we felt like it. The locals didn't speak much English which suited us fine - we didn't go to Croatia to be in Little Britain. It was probably our best holiday ever.
Postira is a small town with only one (that we found) gelato vendor, a couple of restaurants and two food stores. But we found it perfect. We even got to test the Croatian medical system (passed with honours) when our son got tonsillitis on the last day. We found the Croatians reserved but friendly, and we enjoyed our day trip to Zlatni Bol enjoyable and worthwhile, even if the drive was hair-raising.
The house was clean, well equipped and the aircon worked well, cooling the two doubles and downstairs kitchen/lounge. The smallest room (two twins) had no aircon but our boys were so exhausted at the end of the day that they didn't notice. The owners kindly left some kit - rafts, snorkels, etc, but we recommend you bring your own snorkels and water-shoes as the rocks outside the terrace are covered in plants. We bought some plastic rafts for about 5 quid at the market as well. The kitchen was well equipped and we made excellent use of the George Foreman grill for sandwiches each lunchtime. The washing machine worked well, as did the dishwasher and our clothes dried in about 10 minutes in the hot Croatian sun.
I have such happy memories, thank you Theo and Steve, for the opportunity to enjoy the unspoilt and unassuming beauty of Croatia. It beats Italy hands down!
ps. we stopped at Plitvice on the way back to Zagreb - to be recommended.
Owner's Response: It's a joy to read that our guests have loved both the house and the location as much as we do, thank you so much.
