Ground Floor: Villa Rental, 3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 9 in Orebic

We had a lovely relaxing time in Croatia. We went as two families (10 altogether) and rented the whole villa. There was ample room for us all and we were able to move the extending dining table out on to the veranda to enjoy evening meals together. Although the weather was very warm in august we were not uncomfortable at night as all rooms were supplied with fans. The property was clean and homely. The downstairs kitchen was very well equipped but you might struggle to make a family meal if you only rent the upstairs part. The beach is only a short walk away but the pool which you are able to use is quite a long hot walk. Our kids loved snorkeling in the sea and catching small fish in nets. Orebic and Korcula are really lovely and we would definitely like to return. We had hoped to visit Dubrovnik but felt the long hot journey was not really worth it so you would be better to visit Dubrovnik before going to Orebic. We had some pleasant meals in the local restaurants- large portions of meat! Not all will take Visa cards though so you need to check if you don't have a lot of cash. The local doctor is quite close if you should need it and she was very helpful when two of our kids needed treatment. The pharmacist however was extremely grumpy and could do with a course in customer relations! All in all a great holiday for families although older teenagers found it a bit quiet.

Nice Villa in a small, attractive resort sandwiched between the mountains and the sea. Our favourite feature of this apartment was the two balconies, one getting the sun at breakfast and the other in the evening. Amazing garden with lemon, lime, orange, peach and even pomegranite trees.
Lots of places to visit up and down the peninsula, but the best day out was hiring a boat and going over to the island of Korcula with its walled town and sea front restaurants.
Don't miss the opportunity to visit the panorama restaurant with its spectacular views from the mountainside. Family run place with home made food and wine, but requires a trip in advance if you want to book their specialities cooked under the bell'.

We had an amazing time in Orebic, the area is fantastic and so much to see and do. The Villa was the perfect base with all the stuff you needed, it is close to shops, restaurants and supermarkets, its not ideal if you want to spend your days at the Villa but absolutely perfect if what you are after is a holiday where you go exploring everyday.

The upstairs balcony is a lovely place for a sundowner at the end of a long day at the beach. And helpfuly they have left tupperware in the cupboards so you can make picnics!

You can walk to the local beach which is miles long or drive to some amazing beaches or walk 5 mins and get on the ferry to Korcula which is very pretty and has beaches near the ferry.

Orebic has the cleanest clearest water and the people are so nice and friendly and the fish so fresh.

A great holiday, will remind you of holidays of your childhood.
