Lovely mountain retreat

We stayed at Villa Serma for 18 days with our children, their partners and an infant of 2 years. The villa was more than adequate, and the pool area was certainly the highlight of our stay! Gorgeous views over the river valley and their olive groves from all aspects of the house. Episkopi is a small village 12 kms up the mountain valley from Paphos and as such afforded cooler climates and peace and quiet. The local taverna (see facebook Episkopi coffee shop) is definitely the place to be for a very affordable and tasty meal and drinks. The owner Solagis and his wife make you feel part of the local fabric. The views from the taverna are absolutely amazing, and in a breezeless evening, probably the only spot to find any wind at all! And the best thing: Villa Serma is just a roll down the hill away (or walk, if you are capable) ;-)
Chris, the owner of the villa comes by regularly to check and see if you want for anything, and keeps the pool quite spotless. All in all, a wonderful stay if you are looking for something mroe traditional than the "Blackpool in the sun" of downtown Paphos.
Only recommendations we would make: Provide fencing around the pool patio for safety of small children, provide some fans in the house for much needed air circulation in the month of August when you are not a fan (excuse the pun) of airconditioning. The airco works extremely well, but are only found in the bedrooms. For lounging in the downstairs area it could sometimes get a bit stifling in August. However, when you visit in more comfortable months in regards to the temperature, this may not be an issue.
The car service was excellent, we were duly met at the airport and everythign was very well organized. Thank you Chris and Christine!
The Coupe family.
