Kato Paphos is the coastal holiday resort of Paphos that entices visitors to return year after year. There are facilities to suit all tastes and budgets. A safe environment for a family holiday. A lively nightlife if you want it, beautiful beaches and very friendly people. The cuisine is good and varied. The active holiday maker can play a round of golf nearby, the children will love the water park and for the more adventurous, mini-cruises are available to Greece, Italy, Egypt, Israel & Lebanon. A world heritage site, it boasts an abundance of archaeological treasures to be explored. However, just sitting in the sunshine with a cool drink in one of the pavement cafes around the old fishing harbour is a delightful way to relax and watch the world go by. Furnished to a high standard, the property is centrally located in a small quiet development of 22 properties built around a large communal swimming pool with sunbeds and sun umbrellas. The property has a large open plan living/dining/kitchen with toilet/shower room on the ground floor, 3 bedrooms (master ensuite) and bathroom on the first floor and large private roof terrace which catches the sun all day - 6 sunbeds available. All of the rooms are spacious. A bottled water dispenser in the kitchen area which can be used for cold, normal, or boiling drinking water. The water bottles are not expensive and available locally. Linen and hand/bath towels provided, your own beach/pool towels required. Car advantageous to see all of the attractions Cyprus has to offer, not required locally as shops, restaurants and beaches are accessible on foot. Local buses, or taxis are inexpensive compared with UK and are an alternative to car hire for local travel. Changeover day flexible.

Cyprus For A Perfect Holiday

Beaches and picturesque harbour are a short walk away. Close to all local amenities with plenty of bars and restaurants to cater for all tastes. An ideal convenient holiday location. A car is not essential, but is recommended to explore Cyprus, the third largest Island in the Mediterranean. An island of beauty and a country of contrasts. Cool, pine-clad mountains are a complete scene-change after golden sun-kissed beaches. Tranquil, timeless villages are in striking contrast to modern cosmopolitan towns. Yet in Cyprus all distances are easily manageable, mostly on modern roads and highways - with a secondary route, or two, for the more adventurous. The summers are long and hot, fruit trees buckle under the weight of their bounty as do the vines, the grapes of which go into producing some fine local wines. A holiday here is idyllic, there is lots to see and plenty to do, the Cypriot welcome is warm and the weather likewise.

Local Shopping

Local fresh fruit and vegetable are wonderful and 'organic' is the normal way of life, but without the surcharge as in the UK. If you want to self cater then eating in is much cheaper than the UK. Vegetables and fruit are really cheap and of far superior quality to anything found in the UK. Red meat is of good quality and very cheap when compared to UK prices. If you prefer to eat out, there is an abundance of local restaurants, but if you want the flavour of real Cyprus try eating in the restaurants where the locals eat and it's cheaper too! Part and parcel of any holiday is the question of what to take home. Leather goods are very good value. The shoe shops stock up-to-date styles at very reasonable prices. Handbags, suitcases and jackets are a good bargain. Handicrafts abound on every shopping street. Check, many local specialist shops selling alcoholic drink are cheaper than the airport 'duty free', or the UK. Cyprus brandy is very reasonable and makes a great gift.

Weddings and Places of interest

If you want a stylish wedding, or know someone who does, but do not want to start married life with a mortgage for the cost of the wedding, why not get married in Cyprus? Many couples have found that they can afford a lavish reception, which will not make anyone bankrupt and the sun will always be close at hand. Cypriots are friendly and are well used to organising small friendly gatherings right up to the most lavish receptions. There is a growing market in Cyprus for couples who want value for money, without spoiling their special day. Paphos has much to offer being a World Heritage Site. The Tombs of the Kings, with underground tombs date back to 300BC, Roman mosaics, the harbour fort, or explore Aphrodites Rock. For the slightly energetic 3 golf courses are nearby, and the waterpark, sports facilities and extensive watersports are all within the town. Car excursions can be made to the National Park of the Akamas peninsula and the Troodos mountains.

The holiday in Cyprus was very agreeable, you have a truly wonderful villa, sun all day on the patio, I personally wouldn't want to rent it to anyone. My family who for the most part stayed in hotels said that in future they would rent a villa. I would not be adverse to renting again in the future and would recommend to anyone.
