This was the first time we had visited Cyprus. Our taxi picked us up from Paphos Airport and within twenty minutes we arrived at the villa, and greeted by Eric, the owner of the villa. He gave us a quick guided tour of the villa explaining how things worked and how to program our own number into the safe, and then onto the pool area pointing out the six reserved sunbeds for our use only (there are three more plus other seating in the villa garden as well). The villa is well equiped with every cooking implement you could possibly need. There was also sky tv, dvd, and a hifi system, plus lots of books, it felt very much like home. They also supplied beach towels which meant less weight to carry in our suitcases.
Dean even managed to move the router in their house (next door) closer so that we could pick up Wifi if we sat in the garden, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Being pool lovers we mainly stayed by the communal pool which was very peaceful and warm.Though the beach is only about 300 metres from the Complex.
Evenings in Paphos are great, numerous bars and restaurants to try, the food is of a high standard. Three course meal from a set menu with so many starters, main and desserts ranged from 10 - 15 Euros representing very good value. We did eat in some nights due to being too full to go out every night.
There are small kiosk shops close by or a large supermarket within a 15 minute walk, plus there are two bakeries within two hundred yards.
We are going back to Paphos next year and hope to return to Eric and Dean's Villa, though we know we shall have to be quick due to bookings already being taken for 2010.
If you are looking for a very comfortable place to stay in lovely Paphos then this Villa is definately the place to stay, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Thank you once again Eric and Dean for being such wonderful hosts and allowing us to stay in your beautiful Villa.
Martin Diane and Fiona
