Paphos offers an outstanding wealth of history, archaeology and mythology, testifying to Cyprus’ importance as a trading nation and site of historical and religious importance throughout history. Kouklia, just outside Paphos, was the ancient site of worship of the ancient goddess Aphrodite, and the ruins of her sanctuary can still be found there today. Kato Paphos (lower Paphos) has an overwhelming abundance of archaeological treasures. Check out the pavement cafes around the old fishing harbour where you can watch the world go by, stroll along palm tree lined promenades, have lunch or a cool drink at restaurants or bistros by the sea and blend into the vibrant ambiance of Kato Pafos. The Development
The holiday home for rent is located on Iris Village in Kato Paphos, a brand new 5 star resort style holiday complex from one of the top developers in Cyprus. Luxury villas and apartments surrounding the large communal pool. It is within 10 minutes walk of Pafos Harbour, the mosaics and close to the beach, available for the first time in 2007. No expense has been spared in providing families or couples with an atmosphere to have a holiday to their own timetable, unwinding by the pool whilst being close to all the amenities of a major town. The central feature of the resort is the palm tree fringed 50m dual level luxury swimming pool which is divided by a 3m waterfall. This pool rivals any on Cyprus and is reputed to be the biggest private pool on the island. This pool is adjoined by a very small children's splash pool with water fountain. Also worth highlighting is the smaller 15m pool located just a few doors from the villa which some may prefer for its privacy and convenience.
The Accommodation
Fully air conditioned with 2 double bedrooms. Absolutely no expense has been spared to furnish and equip this villa to the highest standards for holiday rental. The main living area is spacious and is equipped with a sofa and sofa bed, coffee table and Satellite tv with dvd player. The adjoining dining area has a dining table with 6 chairs and this leads to the kitchen which comes with marble worktops and stainless steel electrical goods including washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer. Also on the ground floor is a separate wc with hand basin. Externally to the rear the property has a good sized patio with table, chairs and parasol, overlooking parkland where you can pick your own grapefruits from the citrus trees that have been planted. Upstairs you have the main bedroom to the rear which is equipped with a double bed and which has an en-suite shower room / wc attached. To the front is the 2nd bedroom equipped with 2 good sized singles and the family bathroom / wc.
Cyprus
Your experience of Cyprus can be as varied and rewarding as the geography of the island itself. Starting with the sea: There are beaches in Cyprus to suit just about everybody, from families with small children to seekers of solitude. The mountainous interior, the Troodos, offers an alluring contrast to the coast that shouldn’t be overlooked. Bracing pine-scented air, hiking trails and Byzantine churches are just some of the treasures to be found here. It is also possible to experience firsthand the village life of the hill towns. By the beach or further afield, in the towns or storied countryside, the distinctive culture of Cyprus is always close at hand. Cyprus has the very best to offer golfers: three challenging world-class championship courses, playable almost in year-round sunshine all within easy reach of Kato Paphos. Tsada, an 18 hole par 72 course (6060 mtrs); Secret Valley, 18 hole, par 72 (6120 mtrs) and Aphrodite Hills, 18 holes, par 70/71 (6299 mtrs).
Other Activities Many archaeological sites, the Aphrodite Water Park, mini-golf, go karting.

We would like to say how much we enjoyed staying in your lovely Cyprus home. The house was comfortable and everything we could possible need was provided. It was nice to be within easy reach of a multitude of restaurants as well as the beach and Paphos’ beautiful Harbour. All the main roads were close by which made getting other areas simple. We will be returning to Cyprus sooner rather than later and hope that your property will be available for us to use once again. Laurence & Annie Sharp•
Our first stay in Paphos area. We loved the house which was extremely well equipped and slept 6 comfortably. (3 adults and 3 children). We found a car necessary, but shopping and getting around were simple and enjoyable. We tended to cook in and found that the kitchen worked extremely well. The facility includes private pools, but it was the wrong time of year for us! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to return. Len & Jenny•
