Set back from the road around a pretty courtyard and communal pool, 'Blue Electra' offers privacy and comfort in a romantic setting a stroll from the local beaches, restaurants and bars. This bright, airy apartment is ideal for a couple or small family, with room to sleep 4. Completed in 2006 it's thoroughly modern, fully air-conditioned and equipped and furnished to a very high standard: a fully fitted kitchen with fridge-freezer, cooker, hob and dishwasher; utility area with washing-machine; tiled throughout with bath and shower. In the bedroom two single beds with new orthopedic mattresses and huge built-in wardrobes. In the open-plan living area a double sofa bed, dining table and four chairs, TV and DVD with a library of films - have a quiet night in or distract the kids while you have a lie-in. Eat al fresco or just relax on the balcony with its views of the sea and sunrise - you're on the top (2nd) floor. And there's a lift too.

On the main East coast road, the up and coming area of Kapparis is the best kept secret in Cyprus. Famed for its sandy beaches, the surrounding Famagusta district was the holiday destination for Cypriots and tourists alike before the island’s partition in 1974. These days Kapparis is lively all year round, thanks to the wonderful Cypriot climate and the residential tourists who live in the area the whole year. The main road is home to several a la carte high quality restaurants and over a dozen cafes and bars – in Summer you can eat out somewhere different locally every day for a fortnight. If you prefer to shop and cook an intimate meal for yourselves, the local Orphanides supermarket is 5 minutes drive, while two convenience stores and a fruit market are just a short walk. Less than a ten minutes stroll (750m) from the apartment is the coastline, littered with often deserted sandy bays and coves, the closest being Fireman’s Beach. Lively Ayia Napa is less than 15 minutes away.

Things to Do: Amble down to the beach and laze around all day, or if you prefer to get out and about why not take the time to explore the area. There is so much to see and do on this beautiful, dramatic coastline: stretch your legs - hire a bicycle to visit the many neighbouring small towns & villages such as Deryneia, Liopetri or Potamos Liopetriou, touring the local churches and taking lunch at a taverna; get back to the wild in Cape Creco National Park, abundant with birds and flowers, 10 minutes by car; romance and total relaxation on a skippered cruise on a sailing yacht from Ayia Napa up into Famagusta Bay or sail into the sunset for the romantic experience of a lifetime, 15 minutes by car (interyachting.com.cy); retail therapy in Paralimni town centre, 5 minutes by car; cross the border at Vrysoullis to wonder at the “Marie Celeste” quality of the ghost town suburb of Varousa in nearby Turkish Famagusta.

Getting Here: By Air: The nearest airport is Larnaca international airport, which is about 55km (45 minutes drive) from Kapparis. Several airlines fly to Larnaca, including Cyprus Airways, British Airways, EasyJet and Monarch Airlines. The flight time from UK is about 4½ hours. Cyprus is always 2 hours ahead of UK. By Car: EasyCar charge from around £10 per day (excluding fuel). From Larnaca airport take the A3 motorway towards Ayia Napa then the E306 coast road through Protaras and into Kapparis. By metered taxi: Costs around EUR 30 dependent on what time you travel and how much luggage you have. Rates go up after 8pm. Book in advance – with Acropolis Vassos taxis

The apartment was really nice and clean and the pool was lovely. We cooked in a few nights and the kitchen was equipped with what we needed, and there is a local supermarket 1 minute down the road. The owner was very communicative before our holiday making sure we had clear directions to the place and answering any questions we had which was good. The beach is only 5-10 minutes walk away and is a cute little cove, however, we hired a car and enjoyed visiting some of the other beaches too. Plenty of restaurants and a few bars near the appartment, but bigger resorts were easily reached by car or taxi. We particularly like the restaurant Faliros around the corner from the appartment.

A perfect choice for a week in the sun

We stayed in the apartment in the first week of October, and had a very relaxing time. The weather was fantastic and we spent our days either by the pool or at the beach (which is a 5-10 minute walk away).

The apartment had all you need, including a washing machine.

It is a two minute walk to the road where the restaurants and bars are, and there is plenty of choice of where to eat. Alternatively there is a small supermarket (or a large supermarket a short drive away) where you can buy food if you want to cook in the apartment.

Would thoroughly recommend for a week in the sun.

I stayed in the apartment for a few days last summer and the service was excellent. The apartment is clean with great views. Also there is a dvd, and TV available. Fresh water is also provided which was essential in scorching tempuratures.

The apartment and set up was first rate, just as nice if not better than it looks on the picture. Very quite apartment but also very close to bars, restaurants and bars (do miss the Italian food, 5 mins walk) there is enough going on just around the corner. Nice pool on the ground floor and its kept clean, its warm as well. You will love sitting out on the balcolny sipping wine and watching the world go bye or the setting sun, thinking of it again just now. If your thinking of going then I can assure you it is nice apartment. Enjoy, Gwawr & Steve. PS The owner is a real nice guy to deal with as weel, always helps knowing that.

Advetures, Sun, Sea and relaxing Holidays

2008 we had our best holidays ever. We found Phil´s apartment at "holidaylettings" and we loved it from the first time. Contact & Contract are necessary and very good, we got lot of information about Kapparis, the Appartment and about the Cyprus Water-Shortage.

The Apartment was well-maintained, very clean and users get a professional "user-manual" for everything included telephone-numbers and lot of information about Kapparis, Paralimni, Prtoaras and Ayia Napa. There we´re also traveller-guids, maps and some magazines for relaxing. We also had a parking-lane, very good air-condition, nice bath, good beds and a nice view over the rooftops right trough the sea. We read carefully the Guestbook and left a note there. You also get some informations from other guests, this can be very useful. 2010 we´ll come again to make an exellent trip to Cyprus.

If you´re there don´t miss "Firemens Beach", a very quiet and small location. It´s a good place to relax. For good food dont´t miss "Taverna Kanati" in Paralimni, for your best night please join sometimes Ayia Napa, it´s only 10 mins by car. We also made a boat-trip, ist was very nice (Starting in Ayia Napa, approx 5 hours for € 5,00 each person).

For visiting this apartment you must have an car, so rent one at the airport or ask the owner, he will help to find a good car for a low price.

We recommand this property to friends, maybe they`ll come in August for one week. Hope, they´ll join it.

Thanks a lot for the best time ever, we´ll be back!
