Habibi House: This new house stands at the eastern edge of the character-full Turkish Cypriot village of Catalkoy. Accommodation for eight people is spacious and light and the house has been tastefully, yet comfortably furnished. All the furnishings are co-ordinated and give the house an easy, relaxed atmosphere and elegance. Every room has windows on two sides with one leading to either a balcony or terrace in nearly every case. Floors are tiled throughout. The sitting room has comfortable sofas and opens out onto a dining terrace overlooking the pool. There is a large landscaped garden area. The house is ideal for a family or two to relax by the pool, enjoy the local surroundings, or to explore the area, with Girne (Kyrenia) and the famous cultural monastery village of Bellapais nearby, crusader castles in the mountains and the many quiet little bays along the coast for fishing, bathing boating and diving.

The house is situated in the village of Catalkoy an established and picturesque village with restaurants, bars and local facilities such as small shops. A few miles away is the famous town of Kirenia (Girne in Turkish). Easy access to the road to the panhandle or Karpaz region which is a protected nature reserve. There is a local beach 5 minutes drive away at Catalkoy and other beaches further along the coast within easy reach. The house is well-positioned to explore the north and north east sides of the island generally. Google Earth co-ordinates are 35 19'10'N, 33 23'37'E.

Flights, taxis and car hire: Flights are available into Ercan airport in the north and Larnaca airport in the south. Ercan is about 20 miles away and Larnaca about 50 miles. If you choose to fly into Larnaca, a taxi can be arranged to bring you through the checkpoint in Nicosia without any difficulty. We can recommend a good car hire company also. More than 80 flights per week arrive at North Cyprus airport Ercan during the summer. There are 15 flights from 3 UK airports ; Stansted, Gatwick and Heathrow. Most of them arrive in the evening. Turkish Airlines fly to Ercan with stop-overs in Turkey. Gulf/Cyprus Air, British Airways, Helios and many other airlines fly to Larnaca.

Payment and Cancellation: Payment: 20% is payable on booking with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Cancellation charges: 8 weeks or more in advance - Deposit forfeited. 55 to 29 days in advance - 60%. Up to 28 days in advance - 100%. You are advised to insure against cancellation. There is also a 400 pound security deposit against breakages and damage payable in advance and returnable once property is vacated. Other terms and conditions will apply as notified by owners by e mail in course of booking.
