The house, formerly housing the village olive mill, has been tastefully restored. The old millstone and olive press have been relocated to add interest and charm to the beautiful planted, secluded courtyard surrounding the pool which can be lit up at night to allow continued enjoyment. There is a separate terrace leading from the courtyard up a spiral staircase with additional patio furniture and BBQ. This is a family house, comfortably furnished and well-equipped for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Nearest Beach: beach at 2.0 Kilometres

The local beaches are a 10 min drive away and are of the natural stone & sand variety but a number are connected to restaurants, some with tourist facilities. Governor's Beach, a more tourist friendly area with sandy beaches and coves is a 10 min drive along the old Limassol road and has restaurants with sunbed hire etc. The fishing village of Zygi, with its many fish restaurants is situated only 3kms away. The famous village of Lefkara, where traditional lace & silver have been made for many years is 20 mins away & Maroni is only 5 minutes drive from the Neolithic site of Choirokitia, a UNESCO heritage site. Maroni has its own local taverna, Lemonokipos (The Lemon Tree) which serves delicious home-cooked food including meze and kleftiko. The village is uniquely positioned to explore the rest of Cyprus being only 25 mins from Larnaca and Limassol, 40 mins from Nicosia and 1 hour from the Troodos mountains. This house is the ideal base for the independent, discerning holidaymaker.

Notes: The pool is one depth so care should be taken with small children. Shade is provided by a very large parasol and veranda. There is a separate terrace leading from the courtyard up a spiral staircase with additional patio furniture, loungers, BBQ and dryer for laundry. Oil filled radiators throughout and log burning fire in sitting room should provide adequate heating if required - stone floors and exposed beams throughout. Towels and linen can be changed after 7 days if required, at additional cost. The property is over 3 levels and therefore my be unsuitable for those with mobility problems or who find stairs difficult. The rates for parties of up to 4 people are £100 per week less than those quoted.
