The house is situated in the quiet coastal village of Kapparis. One of 11 similar properties it has access to a small sandy beach (2 minutes), bars, restaurants and supermarket (5 minutes), shared 12 metre pool and stunning views over Famagusta Bay. Finished throughout in white with dark wood, the house is fitted to a high standard and offers two twin-bedded rooms, one with en-suite, and a master bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is zoned into sitting, dining and kitchen areas with a separate toilet. The kitchen is fitted to a high standard with 4 ring hob, oven, fridge-freezer, washing machine, microwave and other electrical appliances. Downstairs is furnished in dark cane, glass, chrome and leather, with a flat-screen TV, home cinema system and a selection of DVDs. There are ample work surfaces and storage space. The front door leads directly onto the main courtyard and pool and the rear patio features a built-in BBQ. There are air conditioners in the sitting room and both bedrooms.

Kapparis is a small coastal village situated 5kms from the regional centre of Paralimni. Small in size but not ambition, Kapparis boasts three excellent Cypriot restaurants, a Chinese and a very modern Italian, a good selection of bars/restaurants and a well stocked supermarket. The clean and sandy beaches of Pernera and Protaras (Fig Tree Bay) can be cycled to in 30 minutes from the house along a flat and safe cycle path. 2 bikes are provided with the house. Hiring a car brings the bustling resorts of Pernera (5kms), Protaras (8kms) and Agia Napa (15kms) within easy reach and provides the opportunity to explore the Troodos mountains and the major towns of Laranaca, Limassol and Nicosia. If walking is your desire then the Cap Greco nature reserve is a mere 10 minute drive away. Paralimni is the local commercial centre and here you will find shops in abundance, ancient churches and some smart bars. You'll see the extensive waterpark at Agia Napa on the way from the airport.

Notes to the rental rates

  • ** Special 'Bob the Builder' discount **
    Inevitably the Cyprus building machine has caught up with the tranquility of our house and we have house construction going on immediately behind us. This does generate extra noise and dust although as the pool and courtyard are at the front of the house, and you may be spending a large proportion of your time away from the house, the inconvenience is reduced. Work starts at ~07:00 and finishes around ~17:00. We're told that the main construction work will complete by April 2008 with 'finishing' running through to September when all houses are contracted for delivery. In recognition of this we're happy to offer a £50 per week reduction in the advertised rental rates up to the end of April 2008. [Note : This information is correct as at September 2007. We won't be back until April 2008 ourselves to see for ourselves what the status is]
  • Please be aware that bookings are subject to 25% non-refundable deposit, the balance 8 weeks prior to departure.
    A £100 refundable deposit against losses and breakages is required.

Extensive communal shower, changing and toilet facilities are available in the purpose built rooms under the courtyard - a boon to keeping wet, dirty feet out of the house. Kapparis village is a ten minute walk.
