Photos and Description of this Kyrenia Region holiday villa Sleeps 1-8 people, 2 master bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms, 4 bathrooms.

The villa is built and fitted to the highest possible standards with both air-conditioning and central heating. There is both a Master bedroom and twin bedroom on each of the first floor and ground floor annexe for 2 families to share comfortably without getting in each others way. All 4 bedrooms have en-suite facilities and one of these downstairs has been designed to be wheelchair-friendly. There is an enormous amount of both covered and open terraced space including 2 balconies upstairs with spectacular views across the sea to Turkey which can be seen on a clear day. The `infinity`swimming pool is 10 x 5 meters and the house is set in fully landscaped gardens(planted summer 06). There is an outside eating area and a large enclosed courtyard which are both balustraded from the swimming pool for child safety. There are gardens surrounding the villa on all sides which we planted in 2005. There are citrus trees, bougainvilla, lavender and herb garden, cypress trees, a small grass area.

The island of Cyprus is often called the Jewel of the Mediterranean but for those in the know, North Cyprus is regarded as somewhere still relatively undiscovered. With a tenth of the tourism of South Cyprus, you will find it less crowded, less commercial and wonderful value for money. It boasts some of the most fantastic uncrowded beaches in the Mediterranean and with 300 days of sunshine a year, it is well worth visiting. There is 6000 years of history to be discovered. Many civilisations have left their mark on the island, from fairy tale castles such as St. Hilarion, to Bellapais abbey and the Roman ruins and amphitheatre at Salamis. In terms of night life, there is much on offer with fantastic restaurants all along the Kyrenia coast and in Kyrenia itself. Kyrenia harbour must be experienced by night, full of restaurants it has remained true to itself and is not overrun with loud bars. The historic capital of Lefkosa(Nicosia) is 15 mins. away and well worth a visit.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rental rates quoted are for 4 people. Please add £50 per person per week for guests from 5 up to maximum occupancy of 8.
    Families preferred or parties of adults over 25 please.
    A refundable deposit of £200 is required for breakages, payable when full amount is due.
    Winter bookings may use gas central heating at a cost to be decided per week depending on occupancy.

    Electricity is provided up to 250 units per week, any further usage will be charged at the local rate and taken from the damage deposit. The 250 units should be adequate for night time usage of air con set at 23 degrees.We have had to take the measure to protect ourselves from air conditioning being used in the daytime which is very expensive! It enables our guests to monitor the usage and pay for extra usage if they require it.
  • There are 2 ways to get to North Cyprus. You can fly to Ercan airport in the North with flights from Stanstead, Gatwick. Heathrow and Manchester with transfer times to the villa of approx. 45 minutes. Alternatively you can fly to Larnaca in the South with transfer times of about 90 minutes to Kyrenia. Taxi prices can vary and it is useful to pre-book these in advance especially if you are flying via Larnaca. We can assist you with this if required and a taxi can pick you up from Larnaca for a charge of approx. 45 pounds each way. A hire car can also be arranged to be waiting for you at the villa.

For holidays longer than 1 week, all bed linen and towels will be changed after 1 week and a maid service is available for bathrooms only.A midstay clean is available at a supplementary cost depending on number of guests, please contact owner for details. Notes: Facilities include a fully fitted kitchen with microwave, oven hob, washing machine, dishwasher, There is an internal and external dining area both of which seat 8 people. In addition, the gadgets include TV, DVD, Satellite radio CD and a games console with games.We alos have a PS2 but you need to bring your own games for this. We have designed the villa with families in mind so a travel cot is included ( please bring bedding for this), plastic plates and glasses, high chair and bottle warmer. We have a welcome pack waiting for you on your arrival and our 24 hour management company will visit you to welcome you to the villa, show you where things are and answer any queries you may have. We have a barbeque next to the swimming pool for outside dining. Also we have parking for 2/3 cars. The balustraded courtyard and outside dining area make it easy for adults to relax while children can play safely and away from the swimming pool

We spent a very enjoyable holiday at the villa and appreciated all the excellent facilities provided. The pool was wonderful and much enjoyed by all of us. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and the two outside dining areas gave choice depending on if one needed sun or shade. The villa has lovely views of the mountains behind it and the sea in front. It is ideally placed for visiting all the many attractions of North Cyprus and we enjoyed the variety of things to do. Having several good supermarkets within a few minutes drive was really convenient and we were in easy reach of Kyrenia. I would strongly recommend it to families with children or just a group of freinds. The only thing I felt it lacked was an ice box to pack those beach picnics into!
Owner's Response: What a good idea! When we visit in August I will make sure that I buy an ice box for picnics. I wonder why I never thought of it! There are some lovely places to have picnics in Northern Cyprus and we usually buy ours in the supermarket en route. Now , everyone will be able to enjoy ice cool beers after walking up the mountains or finding that ideal beach.

We didn't want to come home

Our family of four with 18 year old daughter and 16 year old son had a great holiday at Villa Elda.
Wonderful spacious villa fitted to a high standard. Ideal for large families with ample space inside and out with a cool, clean and uncluttered feel. Patio, pool area and balconies are great for relaxing at anytime of day.
Great for eating in despite the large number of restaurants to chose from.
Located close to Kyrenia, but also with easy beach/supermarket/restaurant access.
Very friendly people and a generally relaxed way of life.
Finally the owner is very helpful and all arrangements went to plan.

Villa Elda is a truly wonderful place to stay and we had our best family holiday ever here. The villa is beautifully designed and furnished, providing lots of space. It has all the equipment that you could possibly want, both inside and out. It is exactly as presented on the website. The location is quiet and tucked away and yet it is just minutes by car to a lovely beach. We found it a really great place to stay to get to everywhere that we wanted to visit. We were looked after really excellently, right down to the airport transfers which were very well organised. The owners know the area really well and were genuinely keen for us to have a great holiday. We would really recommend this property.

Best holiday ever

We stayed for 2 weeks at the Villa Elda in October 2008. Our first reaction on seeing the outside was "wow its huge and gorgeous" and we weren't disappointed upon entering. We (couple 60) and our daughter (30) spent a good half hour absolutely screaming with delight on exploring our holiday home. Worked very well for us as the set up with 2 bedrooms down and 2 upstairs meant we could split and have our own space. The whole villa was very well equipped with good quality fittings and equipment and it was a pleasure to cook in the lovely kitchen. The outside was a dream with several areas to just laze in the sun or for comfortable dining. The pool was wonderful and we spent many happy hours in and around it and the gardens. This is very much a home not just a rental property and there were lots of little extras that made for extra comfort. The whole thing was very easy as Liz kindly booked our airport transfer and car hire for us at very reasonable rates. The surrounding area is lovely with plenty of bars supermarkets and restaurants and the locals are the most genuinely friendly I have met anywhere. They take you into their homes and take great pleasure in getting to know you personally. We had no children with us but I am considering maybe taking my grandchildren next time as the whole villa and pool had been made very safe for younger visitors. To sum up, beautiful villa, wonderful area, fantastic people, lovely weather - what more could you want. Don't delay any longer, book it - you won't be disappointed.

Luxurious villa in Northern Cyprus

This is a lovely and spacious villa. It is beautifully maintained. Everything about it is new and clean, and it is well equipped with air conditioning and cable TV. The villa is spacious and ideal for families. the infinity pool is great and there is loads of space around it to relax or have a barbecue. There are lots of activities nearby- beaches, castles, shops, restaurants. Thoroughly recomend this villa.
