KYRENIA: Approx a 10 minute drive from the Villa, and has a 6,000 year long history. Kyrenia is the main port and major holiday resort in Northern Cyprus with one of the prettiest harbours in the Med. It is easy to explore its narrow cobbled alleys and chic pavement cafes and restaurants.
ST HILARION:Just a few minutes drive away is the fairytale castle of St.Hilarion said to have been the original inspiration for the Walt Disneys 'Sleeping Beauty' castle.
THE KARPAS: Well known for its Byzantine churches, and boasts some of the finest beaches and countryside. The karpas peninsula (pan handle) is the easternmost part of the island.
BELLAPAIS: Holds one of the main attractions in the area the 'Bellapais Abbey'. Founded at the end of the 12 Century the village has narrow streets and local shops creating the feeling that you are still in old Cyprus. Laurence Durrells book 'Bitter Lemons' brought attention to the village life that is still obvious today.
