Our 3rd visit-it just gets better and better!

This property is exactly as described,if not better : it is well-maintained inside and out, the pool is thoroughly cleaned twice-weekly and the villa was spotless when we arrived and was cleaned and the towels and bedlinen changed at the end of our first week. The furnishings are of high quality, the villa is well-equipped with everything you could want-you can tell that the owners have put a lot of thought into the needs of their guests. The welcome pack when we arrived was much appreciated!
Any queries we had before our stay were dealt with promptly, and there's an English couple living nearby who you can contact if you have any problems during your holiday.
The location of this villa is idyllic : the sandy beach of Ayia Triada, with its little church, is literally at the end of the road, and we watched the sun rise and set over the sea each morning from our balcony. Most evenings we walked down to the marina to watch the fishing-boats setting out, and practised our Greek with some of the locals, which caused confusion all round!
There's an excellent restaurant about 200 yards from the villa (Loukiana),which has an extensive menu and is good value for money-and a good selection of tavernas, bars and restaurants (including Italian and Chinese) within 15 minutes walk, in Kapparis itself. We especially liked Kara's and Just Italian: there's a book in the villa with recommendations from the owners and previous guests. We went to the Phoenix in nearby Pernera on Sunday mornings for the full English breakfast, and it was lovely-naughty but nice. Also cooked our own barbecues by the pool several evenings, which was great fun.
There are several small supermarkets within walking distance (Rossos bakery is highly recommended for their cheese and olive pies), but we tended to drive up to Orphanides or go to Carrefour in Paralimni for a "big shop": both of these stock UK-branded foods if you need them.
Protaras is about 5-10 minutes away by car, or 10 Euros in a taxi: there's a long sandy beach with watersports and lots of shops, bars and restaurants: but it felt a bit like the big city after the tranquility of Ayia Triada!
Ayios Elias church, set up on the hill on the outskirts of Protaras is worth a visit: 171 steps, but spectacular views from the top.We also liked Konnos Bay,the village of Liopetri (good for a fish meze) Mackenzie beach in Larnaca, and Oroklini.
We would unreservedly recommend this villa, and are already looking forward to our next visit!
