Great location & very friendly!

We had a great time spent in Villa Laura for 2.5 weeks in late September to early October. It was very warm.
Villa has no pool, but one should consider for this instance if it worth coming to the sea while pool bathing is easily available at home! In addition, it is clearly more secure for families with small children.
Villa is located in a very good area, close to Central Protaras & Fig Tree Bay, only at short walking distance. You can choose to either go to Fig Tree beach with all facilities (10 min) or walk 5 min to a nearby smaller cove beach with less facilities but with much fewer people. The white sand beach and the sea is so clear with lots of fish to snorkel with.
At the same time, it is very quiet as all the noisy nightlife – big hotels, discos, restaurants are distant enough. It is an excellent place for quiet family holiday. The place itself is very green with lemon & pomegranate trees & palms growing nearby.
Richard has been very helpful and easy to deal with all the way from our email enquiry via this website to the last day of our stay. He met us in the airport with his own car even with a child seat and took us to the villa, as well as brought us back to the airport when we left. Everything was just as he promised. He also provided us with lots of useful information by email and there were many printed guides and maps in the villa, so we could easily find places we wanted to go to (car rental was not a problem). Also, there are very friendly neighbours who invited us to have tea with them and treated us with lemons and other fruits from their gardens.
Kitchen has all the basic utensils we need, and we enjoyed cooking. There is no dishwasher; however it did not complicate our life much. All the rooms are air-conditioned. There was a big satellite TV to watch and a thoughtful selection of CD's with fine music to listen.
Restaurants and taverns that serve national dishes or sell them takeaway are at walking distance. Local supermarkets also sell everything necessary for home cooking. If you need more, hypermarkets in Paralimni are available within short car or bus drive (Carrefour, Kokkinos etc.). There is even a small shop around the corner where you can have different kid care facilities for hire (pushchairs, highchairs etc.) or buy minor items.
We absolutely loved it and hope to be back again next year.

Owner's Response: Since the writer of the review stayed at my Villa (and I am happy that he seems to have been so pleased with it!) there have been several enhancements to it, the most important of which are: a new double bed and mattress have been supplied; spot-lighting on the front veranda has been installed; a new oven fitted to the existing ceramic hob in the kitchen; bed-side lighting has been markedly improved!
