Step back in time! Romance & history emanate from this 400 year old house in the very heart of Mala Strana, the oldest and most sophisticated quarter of Prague. The building and the quarter are carefully controlled by the Department of Historic Buildings. Gaslit and winding streets lead you to the house, built in 1570. From the pretty cobbled street, through the ancient door, up three flights of steps, you enter the apartment. Parquet floors, original beamed ceilings and fairy tale views of Charles Bridge, the City Spires and the River Vltava all contribute to the feeling of history and romance. The comfortable and tasteful furnishings, sympathetic restoration and cross ventilation, the well equipped modernised kitchen and bathroom all combine to guarantee a very pleasant stay. Moreover, the superb location and great views makes this one of the most memorable places to stay in Prague.

Mala Strana, the oldest quarter of Prague is located beneath the Castle. As can be seen on the location map here next to these details, this apartment truly is superbly centrally located in the heart of the Mala Strana, overlooking the river and the Charles Bridge (Karluv Most). Note the parks and green spaces in this part of the city. The steps onto Charles Bridge are just at the end of the street. Crossing the Bridge, you immediately enter the Old Town at the other side. Historic buildings, places of interest, delightful parks and the finest dining are right outside the door of the apartment house. Tram and metro are very nearby but you will so easily walk to all the major sites that you are unlikely to need them

This apartment is on the third (top) floor of the house. Please note: No lift. Tastefully & comfortably furnished with wonderful views of the Charles Bridge, the River Vltava and the City Spires. FREE ADSL broadband connection on desk, should you decide to bring your laptop. Satellite with English language news channels DVD player and a selection of DVD films are available in the apartment. Telephone on which you can receive although not make international calls. Useful for making local calls. This is a delightful apartment which provides a great base from which to enjoy Prague. It provides a memorable experience of life in the heart of this magical city.

This is the last day of my Prague vacation and cannot say enough nice things about this apartment and its owner. The apartment is exactly as it is described on the website. The location at the foot of the Charles Bridge is wonderful! It has everything you could need. I especially appreciate how secure the apartment is as I am traveling on my own. The owner was more than helpful in providing suggestions for places to eat and where to go. Having internet access at the apartment also made my stay that much easier. When I return to Prague, I hope this apartment is available again, because this is the only place I would want to stay.

Location, Location and more!

If you are visiting Prague you would be mad not to stay here. We are loathe to rave about it too much for fear of it becoming so popular that it is not available next time we want to stay.

It is in the perfect location. Just off the end of Charles Bridge in a quiet street, on the 3rd floor of a lovely building in what is undoubtedly the better part of Prague with its cobbled streets and historic buildings. Away from the crowds that you find in the more touristy areas yet we didn’t need to use any public transport during our 8 day visit as everything was easily reached on foot – the best way to see this beautiful city.
The only transport we used was for transfer from/to the airport and these were arranged for us by the owner of the apartment, very efficient and completely hassle free!

The photographs give an honest picture of the apartment and the views from the windows. It is so comfortable with modern fittings throughout.
The other reviews we have read about this apartment say it all really. We will definitely visit Prague again and we will definitely use this apartment for our stay. We can’t wait to return.

Prague's Perfect Hidden Gem

We just enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Prague at this lovely apartment. The Mala Strana location was absolutely perfect, a quiet street but only minutes way from Charles Bridge and all of the amazing sights. An extensive selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants were also located only minutes away, some almost right outside the door. The historic apartment itself was immaculate and cozy. Just what we needed! It had everything you could want or need to make your stay very comfortable. We ate breakfast at the apartment (there are a variety of stores nearby to purchase fruit, bread, cheese, pastries, etc). Clare (owner) was extremely helpful with everything. She answered questions we had before we arrived promptly and everything was exactly as she said it would be. We really appreciated the airport transfers. Clare had put together a selection of information (guide books, maps, etc.) about Prague which was very helpful. We were made to feel very welcome and she added a lovely personal touch to our experience. We would definitely recommend this apartment and, in fact, have already recommended it to several friends. A memorable experience!

Really ideal place for a trip to Prague

Our family of 4 stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful, quiet, perfectly located apartment. After visiting every neighborhood in the city, we still preferred our location. Clare was lovely and did everything possible to make our stay delightful. This is a superb choice for a family traveling with children or two couples traveling together. The view is sensational. This is a great find and a great value. We loved it

My husband and I spent a weeek here in June whilst attending a conference.
It was like staying in a home. It is a very well appointed apartment with cupboards unusually stocked with useful items in the kitchen, bathroom and library. There are good cleaning products and the towels are thick, large and numerous.
The laundry is particularly good.
The apartment is large with ample room for 2 couples or a family.
There are 2 comfortable Queen sized beds in well separated rooms.
The location is great with most attractions being within walking distance.
Having a good internet connection and local phone calls is a big advantage.
But the view is the real attraction -gorgeous by day and night. We also enjoyed the back view up the hill and over the street.
The location is very quiet -over the canal to the river on one side and on the front side, U Luzickeho Seminare carries very little traffic.
The owner, Clare, was so welcoming and helpful -meeting us, organizing our taxis and being accommodating and helpful with our change of plans. You knew that she would help you with any problems you had while in Prague.
The 3 flights of stairs are an issue -but great for your fitness.
Just do not bring too much luggage.
It was lovely opening the door at the top of the stairs and finding our welcoming home.
