Luxury cottage in the Czech Republic situated in a protected nature region overlooking a large Dam with a beach area, swimming, boating, restaurant, beautiful walks and forests nearby! The cottage has 2 bedrooms, a dining room, a covered terrace and gardens. It sleeps up to 5 people. It’s located in a quiet area near to the popular town ‘Sec’ 20 miles south of Pardubice. Prague and Brno airports are about an 80 mile drive. Restaurant meals are about £3 & beer 50p a pint. Can be ideal for a relaxing week after spending some time in Prague!

Sec dam lies in an area of about 220 hectares. You can find Sec in the Pardubice locality, 20 km from the town Chrudim, 30 km from Pardubice and about 100 km from Prague. It is the biggest water area in the locality. The surroundings can offer you a lot of activities for a relaxing holiday. The environment is good for people with asthma and allergies. This locality is famous for its beautiful nature. There are also plenty of places to visit nearby.

The window overlooks the rear garden.

We had a lovely holiday in the cottage. It is a chalet style and is quite basic inside but quite adequate with a small kitchen and larger living area. The description on the web site is accurate. There is a beautiful view over the reservoir from the main bedroom window. The best feature is the gazebo in the garden with views over the reservoir and provides lots of shade - great for relaxing and eating outside.

The big plus is the location which is brilliant - in walking distance of an excellent restaurant on the waters edge. The 'beach' on the water side is only a few hundred metres away and would be great for young kids. It is a couple of miles from the main town - with a good cheap pizzeria, supermarket, boat and bike hire. Definitely recommend the canoes and pedalos, and good local cycle routes through lovely countryside (but a bit hilly!)

Also good day trips - definitely recommend Kotna Hura - the bone church is the most bizarre place I have ever been to!
