So much to enjoy locally!:
100yrds away is Country House Hotel, historic Bamburgh and quaint pubs 1.5 miles away. Try the famous Bamburgh Banger, cream teas visit Bamburgh Castle & Grace Darling museum. Visit Holy Island across the causeway with the famous Lindisfarne Monastry & Mead! Edinburgh 40 mins by Train, London 3hrs on fast East Coast train line. Edinburgh Festival & Tattoo are easy day trips during August & September. Alnwick Castle, where they filmed Harry Potter and the new Alnwick Garden & its Treehouse is a top destination for children along with the famous Chillingham Herds. Seahouses and Beadnell are close by with lots of beautiful beaches & plenty to do, crazy golf and locally made ice cream. Try the Kippers from the local smokery at Seahouses / Craster & Lobster Thermador at the Seafield Restaurant. Unique fisherman's pub The Ship for a pint of local ale, hot soups & delicious crab sandwiches! Metro Centre in Newcastle for shops galore!

Well besides the obvious enjoyment of the beautiful beaches, Nortumberland is packed with so many things to do.
Activities such as Golf, water sports- diving school at Seahouses, Boat trips to farne Islands, surfing and kite surfing (which can be seen from lounge window as well!!) wind surfing and sailing. Walking the coastal paths (some have pubs at end like Beadnell to Newton by the sea) is a joy any time of year, or up the Cheviot Hills the backdrop to the coast. Cycling is great along the quiet roads, a short cycle away it is one of the most beautiful beaches along the coast where you can be the only one there! It is packed with shells, take a picnic it is worth it! Bird watching from the lounge window becomes natural, you can not wait to wake up and see if tide is in or out! Budle Bay is a RSPB nature reserve so you see many wonderful birds and animals, a telescope & binoculars are provided. An information pack is in apartment full of ideas of things to do and see.

Have an apartment with that something extra special!! Swan Bay is one of only three properties to have a 'Jetty Cottage', its a place for picnics, barbeques, fun and relaxation. I have provided games for children to play outside ! You will have your own chairs and table (not just the communal ones) binoculars & tea and coffee making facilities. You can have a candle lit supper or just sit back and enjoy a glass of wine in peace. All our guests have commented that this made staying at our apartment that bit special!
