Fantastic Penthouse Apartment with jaw dropping ocean views overlooking Porthmeor beach.(Waves 5, next door prop.437860 also available) Access is via a feature spiral staircase within a purpose built turret to the side. Furnished and equipped to the highest standard and with original local artwork.The central heating and double glazing make it perfect for year round holidays. In the kitchen there are built in appliances including washer/dryer,dishwasher a Baby Gaggia Coffee machine and Alessi equipment.The living area has access onto a balcony with views of the ocean. The master bedroom/en suite also has ocean views and the 2nd bedroom has harbour views. Molton Brown hand soap/creams are provided in the bathrooms. Rental from 3pm Friday to 10am Friday, with a weekly change of luxury bedding & towels. (Sorry, no pets and no smoking). Included free use of garage (5 mins walk, 16'9 x 9' max with 7' door width) car parking is also available outside on Barnoon public car park at £33 p.w.

St Ives is a lovely historic Cornish fishing village with a maze of cobbled streets jumbled with restaurants, galleries, pubs and clubs. Its many attractions are activities such as swimming, surfing, body boarding, walking, tennis, horse riding, and sea fishing. Of course St Ives has a history in the pilchard trade and during the season there is an opportunity to join 'Shanty Baba', to hear some of the local tales. Food is on offer in restaurants, cafes and pubs offering fresh locally caught fish. Some of these restaurants you may have seen recently on the television. Early booking is recommended. Entertainment in the summer can be found at the open air theatre not too far away. Other attractions near by are the Eden Project, Flambards and the gardens at Helygon close to the Helford river. The main attraction in St Ives is of course the Tate gallery and that's open all year round, two minutes away from our apartment.

There are TVs in both bedrooms, (Flat screen free view in bedroom 1 & combi/video in bedroom 2) In the lounge there is a Video/DVD player and 26'' flat wide screen free view T V, & CD mini stereo with USB port and some games, books dvd and videos. Beautiful view from apartment, decoration & furniture is lovely, very comfy beds. We had a great time in your great apartment. Really well equipped kitchen, myself and daughter enjoyed cooking there.

Had a wonderful week in March staying at Surfs Up. Great views of the ocean and coast from the living rom and main bedroom. Decor, fittings and appliances of the highest spec, an extremely welcoming and comfortable apartment. Very comfortable beds and luxury bathrooms, loved the Molten Brown toiletries.
Plenty to see and do, can recommend coastal walk to Zennor (6 miles) and visits to Sennon and Kynance Cove a must.Stunning sunsets over Porthmeor beach.
Great restaurant, However, the Sloop Inn offers great cuisine on par with any restaurant, would recommend the Seafood casserole, Shelfish Thai Curry. Overall a great holiday in an excellent apartment, will return for another stay in the future.

Great apartment, well equipped and with superb views - a grand base from which to explore St Ives and south Cornwall.

Lots of good restaurants to try in St Ives - try the Seafood Cafe, Alba and the Garrick hotel. All highly recommended.

Make sure you bring plenty of change if you want to use the car park in front of the apartment (a weekly permit was £33 in June 2008 and the machines only take coins!). And watch for the gulls if you're enjoying a pastie or ice cream outside... they enjoy them too much to!

What can you say - St Ives must be THE place to stay in Cornwall, and Surfs Up can only make the stay better. Fantastic apartment, beautifully maintained, excellent facilities, and what a view - can not be bettered, and will definately be back.
Local restuarants are great - On Shore and Cobblers offer fantastic food right on the seafront, and the Sloop is a great place to have a drink after.
