'Beach View' is a stunning contemporary holiday rental apartment which has undergone a complete refurbishment (May 2007). It is part of the Gwel Marten complex which occupies a superb position on the site of the old Gwel Marten Hotel on Headland Road. The apartment has a commanding front line position with amazing private outside terrace providing uninterrupted sea and beach views and also has a private covered parking space. With close proximity to the village train station, it is a short train ride into St Ives, a journey which takes just 3 minutes and follows a dramatic path along the coast. The spacious living space will provide guests with a stunning open plan kitchen with breakfast bar, dining room and luxurious lounge area, all enjoying breathtaking sea views. The modern family bathroom with have separate shower and bath whilst both bedrooms will have TVs. 'Beach View' also has a wonderful rear breakfast terrace, ideal for a morning coffee and a read of the papers.

The direct access to the St Ives branch railway line means that the car may never be required. Historic St Ives is renowned for its cosmopolitan mix of restaurants and cafes, art galleries, beaches and scenery and whether you are simply looking for a week on one of the many beaches, or an energetic mix of surfing, golf, walking or diving, there is something here for you. Further afield, Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Lands End, Sennen Cove (surfing), Padstow (cooking courses with Rick Stein), Newquay (indoor water world) and St Austell (Eden Project) are all within very easy reach either by car or train.

Notes: The apartment is situated on the ground floor and is accessed by a small flight of stairs. There is park bench seating on the front terrace with a table and chairs on the rear breakfast terrace. The Kitchen comes equipped with kettle, toaster, filter coffee machine, fresh orange juice maker, full dinner set, wine glasses, mugs, tea towels, first aid kit, Iron and Iron board, full assortment of pans, cutlery and general cooking utensils. The master bedroom has a king size bed, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe and chest of draws with colour TV. The second bedroom has twin beds again with bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, chest of draws and colour TV. There is an additional single fold away bed also stored so providing the potential to sleep a 5th person. Linking the rear bedrooms to the front aspect is a spectacular hallway which is 40' in length.

Parking : Please note that there is one covered parking space available for use by our guests. If bringing two cars there is additional parking on Headland Road where there are no restrictions.

Local facilities: The nearest supermarket is a Tesco which is less than 5 minutes drive away off the main A3074 road into St Ives. There are also banks, hairdressers, a chemist, newsagents and general stores all a short walk away. During the day when on the beach there is a cafe and food outlet.

The apartment is available all year round and a great escape location during the off-peak winter season when walking the South West Coastal path is particularly popular activity. We had a thoroughly delightful time at Carbis Bay and the apartment was great! The accomodation was clean, tidy, modern and fresh and family friendly with all our basics needs met. The veiw was truly outstanding.The train branch line is a few minutes stroll, with endless possibilties for a carless holiday. We had 3 children with us (20 mth, 10,11) and the location was ideal. One thing to bear in mind is the allocated garage space for the apartment wont take 4x4 and will require you to remove your roof box (if you have one), - but don't let this put you off the accommodation. Caribs Bay is a pleasant 40 minute stroll from St Ives - Do visit the Tate and have afternoon tea in their cafe, the view is great! A visit to St Michael's Mount is worth the trip.
