The farmhouse is located in the quite unspoilt & undiscovered southern area of the Lake District, between Broughton-in-Furness & Millom. We are central for trips off to area's such as, Bassenthwaite, Derwent water, Wasdale, Eskdale, Ennerdale, Buttermere to name but a few of the lakes, that Wainwright, wrote in his books on the lake district. You also have Muncaster castle, noted for its birds of prey. The famous Ratty train. Visit Grizedale forest & swing from the forest treetops or take a leisurely walk through the forest itself. Visit Holker Hall & gardens, with its famous car museum. Stop off at Coniston take a boat ride along the shore stopping off at Brantwood the home of John Ruskin. Coniston water is also where Donald Campbell broke the land speed record& where his museum is also located. Take a picnic & enjoy the Kirkstone or Hardknott pass with its breath taking views. Visit our beautiful sandy beaches, which are suitable for adults & children.
