'Heritage' is a 3rd floor apartment recently refurbished to a very high standard, comfortable and cosy but with all mod cons. It commands magnificent views in both directions; over the harbour and Lyme Bay to the West, and the Jurassic coast towards Portland to the East. One double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and sitting room (with double sofa bed enabling maximum of 3 to stay). TV, Video and DVD, music system, central heating. All rooms have sea view. In front of the property there is a large communal lawn for use of Pier Terrace tenants only. Dedicated parking is available adjacent to the lawn. You can reach the beach, shop and pub within 1 minute.

Pier Terrace occupies a stunning position in the heart of West Bay adjoining the harbour and beach. West Bay is a thriving coastal resort with excellent amenities including public house, post office, general store, fishmonger butcher, restaurants and church - all arranged around the picturesque historic working harbour, which has recently been upgraded with a new outer harbour. The famous 'Riverside Restaurant' is only a short walk from the apartment. This has established itself as one of the country's leading seafood restaurants and takes pride in serving fresh fish. Their changing daily menu reflects the local landings, much of which is caught off the Dorset coast. The superb coastline is designated a World Heritage Site (the only one in the UK). Nearby is an 18 hole cliff top golf course and the historic market town of Bridport is within a couple of miles. The larger centres of Dorchester and Weymouth are both about a half an hours driving distance with mainline railway services.

  • 'Heritage' is available throughout the year on a weekly basis and outside of High Season for shorter 3 or 4 night breaks. Linen and Towels are included in the price as is electricity. There is no land line telephone connected but several mobile networks operate in the area. Heritage is perfect for two people. There is further accommodation on a sofa bed in the sitting room for occasional use. Please apply for rates, again linen will be provided. Baby cots available at a small charge. Christmas and New Year breaks by arrangement.

Notes: Although best suited for 2 people Heritage is kitted out for 3 people. The extra person being accommodated on the sofa bed in the living room, really only suitable on a short term basis. There will be an extra charge for a 3rd person. On the floor above Heritage there is the advantage of a large store/attic room for beach equipment, walking gear and buggies etc. The whole apartment is newly decorated with fitted carpets and laminated wood flooring.

Had a wonderful time, loads to do, have only just scratched the surface of the Jurassic Coast! Flat was very comfortable and the stairs were no problem having climbed lots of cliffs!! My only concern was parking on Bank Holiday weekend - it was very busy but after that it was fine! Would definitely recommend it as a holiday base!

Amazing!

This property is incredible; it's so cosy and a real home from home. It has everything you'd ever need, I went thinking will it have things such as toilet rolls, washing tablets etc, it had everything. Tidy little nest, warm and really lovely.

The only downfall would be the stairs, its on the third floor, so if your super fit it's fine, but if your that little bit older, it could prove to be a struggle day in, day out.

There are wonderful restaurants and pubs scattered around West Bay, with friendly people waiting to take your order. There is a butcher, fish monger, corner shop, news agent, 2 amusement arcades (fun if you’ve run out of things to do) and a swimming pool open to the public.

I'd definitely return, without a second thought, the area is absolutely stunning in both rain and shine - it’s a really lovely village.

I went as his girlfriend, returned as his fiancé!

Great location and most comfortable bed ever !

I booked the apartment at 11am on a friday to arrive later that day. The owner could not have been more helpful. The location is easy to find with good roads all the way.
I was a little nervous as there were no pictures of the bedroom or living room but my concerns were unfounded.
The apartment was spotless and the kitchen and bathroom modern and well maintained.
Within a couple of hundred yards there are numerous pubs and restaurants so no need to drive anywhere. Similarly you are practically on the beach where the views are great and there are excellent walks.
There is a sat market in nearby Bridport which is worth a visit and again there ae numerous places to eat.
I booked a long weekend as a surprise for my wife and earned appropriate brownie points for good selection of both location and apartment.
What would I chnage ? Well the sofa in the living room had no arms which made it uncomfortable for me but hey I am struggling to pick fault. Its on the third floor so dont take a bag that is too heavy !
I would definitely recommend to friends and family and consider returning myself. If you are looking for a reasonably priced apartment in a fab location for time away with your partner then this is a good bet.
Remember Location, Location, Location
PS The bed was soooooooooooooo comfortable !!

Very well presented and well kept, clean property. All amenities. Great views from apartment. Very helpful owner. Decent local pubs. Certainly would stay again, and have recommended to others.
