All bedrooms and the sitting room look out across uninterrupted sea views. Enjoy what Turner described as 'the best skies in Europe' either from the comfort of indoors or on the adjacent beach. The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a traditional Georgian building next to the Winter Gardens in Cliftonville, Margate. Prospective tenants should be aware that the building is undergoing maintenance during 2007 / 08 so is not in great shape. The shops and restaurants of the town centre are a short walk away, and nearby along the sea front there is bowling, crazy golf and a casino. Also traditional English seaside attractions of amusement arcades, candy floss and Dreamland. Within a few miles drive there are museums, animal attractions and the pretty town of Broadstairs. The apartment consists of sitting room (with TV and DVD), one double, one twin and one single bedroom, a bathroom and modern kitchen. It is equipped with a washing machine, fridge, cooker and microwave.

Margate is one of the Cinque Ports and the home of sea bathing. During Victorian times the beaches were crammed with holiday makers. Nowadays it is more selective, but the increasing number of bars and restaurants, the new shopping centre a couple of miles away and the investment in redeveloping the unspoilt Old Town with its cobbled streets and interesting buildings, is putting Maragte back on the map. A walk along the beach is a delight - whether the waves are crashing wildly over the cliffs, or the sun is shining on the crab pools and sandcastles. The Viking Trail is great for walking, cycling or roller blading and extends several miles north and south of Margate. In the summer, the Blue Flag (= clean!) beach comes to life with funfair attractions and ice cream stands. In the surrounding area you can find horse riding, farm attractions, wildlife parks, historic Canterbury and access to mainland Europe via the channel tunnel. Margate station has regular trains to London.

nous avons passé de bonnes vacances mais trouver des ordures sur le palier a notre arrivée nous a refroidis...de plus le personnel de l'agence qui nous remet les clefs est execrable tellement il manque d'amabilité... le ménage n'avait pas été fait, notre début de vacances a donc été laborieux et hygiénique, nous avon dû nettoyer de fond en comble la cuisine et la salle de bain; et entretenir autant que faire se peut les chambres et la salle à manger sans aspirateur car le sac était plein à ras bord et pas de nouveau....en revanche, le linge de maison , la literie sont propres et en bon état. nous avons pû nous rendre a canterburry et ramsgate par le bus( se renseigner l'office de tourisme)et les adresses données par la propriétaire sont géniales( ne pas rater la grotte aux coquillages et les soirées aux mechanical elephant!)les promenades sont egalement magnifiques et la lumière matinale sans vis a vis est magique!
