Our recently refurbished spacious self-contained ground floor flat with small private garden is welcoming and the ideal base from which to explore London. The lounge is open plan to the kitchen which has french doors that open onto the garden. The bedroom has a large en-suite shower room and also has french doors that open onto the garden where there is a decked area ideal for al fresco eating in the summer. It is located in a quiet road less than 5 minutes walk from Putney High Street with its excellent communications and amenities.

London: Putney is an ideal location from which to explore Central London. Communications are excellent with buses to central London from the High Street. Putney Bridge Station is on the District Line and Putney Main Line station takes you directly to Waterloo, both are less than 10 minutes walk away.

Putney: The apartment is located in a quiet street. However, less than 5 minutes walk away are a host of pubs, bars, restaurants, a Cinema and all the major banks. The local supermarket, Waitrose, has a wide range of high quality food and supplies. Theatres in the West End are easily accessible as are the more local theatres at Richmond, Wimbledon and Hammersmith.

Surrounding Area: For those who like open spaces, the Royal Parks of Richmond, Bushy and Hampton Court are close as are Putney Heath, Wimbledon Common, Kew Gardens and Syon House.

23 March - 7 April 2004 Stephen & Linda Shawcross, Calgary. Abfab start to a one year sabbatical, great digs, handy area, picked a winner off the internet....Will sorely miss Putney Bridge and the muddy Thames.
8-28 Sept 2004 Earl & Sally Flage, Calafornia. This was a great first visit to England and your Putney flat is just like being at home-much nicer than hotels or B&Bs. We hope to return in a couple of years.

It's got it all!

Since the late '80s, we have had holiday lets in about eight flats in London, mainly using "visiting our daughters working in London" as an excuse! Lacy Road is the standout in a pretty good field. We've stayed there twice now and hope to get back because we enjoyed it so much. Why? Apart from the warm welcome (and supplies) from Jenny and Sylvan, the flat couldn't be faulted. They had second-guessed all our needs and comforts. For example, Visit 1, we looked for a chopping board ... and there were five of them! There was nothing we looked for that wasn't there, in kitchen, cooking, everyday living, including the well-appointed bathroom (and two loos!). There is even a delightful garden/barbecue area. Location is brilliant: the river, the whole range of shopping on your doorstep and easy access to central London ... by train, bus or tube -- plus a river ferry! In short, a fantastic holiday spot. (And the bed couldn't be more comfy!!!)

Putney Apartment

This apartment is a gem. Situated only a 3 minute stroll from Putney High Street with easy bus, rail and tube access to anywhere in London as well as a plethora of pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and shops.

Tastefully decorated, the apartment is well described and beautifully maintaned with a full range of modern in-house facilties including Wi Fi, TV, stereo and kitchen utilities.

On arrival after a long flight from Australia, we were delighted to find our fridge already stocked with bacon and eggs, fruit juice and cereal.

Nothing was too much trouble for the owner who easily mangaged our early arrival and departure.

This apartment is ideal for a travelling couple.

We will be back!

Great Place to Stay

My wife and I are from Australia and we stayed in Jenny and Sylvans property for a week during September 2007. When we arrived Jenny explained the running of the place to us and then provided us with a starter kit consisting of bacon eggs bread and many other things. This was unexpected but very much appreciated. The flat is very central for sightseeing in London city as you have access to buses, underground and train. This was helpfull to us as the underground was on strike for a few days whilst we were there but being able to catch the train did not slow us down. Wonderful and friendly people and we would recommwnd this property to any of our friends. In fact we showed the property to a friend of ours in London and she thought it was exceptional value. We would most definitely stay again (if availbale ) when visiting London again. It was outfitted to a very high standard
