My personal bright, clean and well appointed self catering flat on Upper Berkeley St, Westminster, W1H-5QD, has twin beds and a very large comfortable double sofa bed. The hot water supply never runs out and all equipment is maintained or replaced as necessary. It is only five minutes walk to Sainsbury's, Waitrose or Somerfield supermarkets, the Central Line tube, Hyde Park, Oxford Street shops and the West End entertainments. The six screen Marble Arch Odeon and three pubs are only three minutes walk away. Fifty yards from your door is a coin op laundry with dryers and an Internet Cafe. An Olympic pool and the Central Line metro and buses are just around the corner You have your own personal ground floor key entry and your security and privacy is guaranteed. Your holiday haven is central to the west end shops, pubs, restaurants, an Olympic pool (200yds) and a free WiFi hotspot at the Tyburn Tavern 400 metres away.

This charming flat is in the heart of the central London shopping area (click the map + button twice to see Upper Berkeley St) and only ten minutes walk from the main Oxford St, Marks & Spencer and Selfridges stores. Hyde Park, a Sainsbury's mini supermarket, a Waitrose supermarket, the metro and the six screen Odeon Cinema are all only five minutes away. An Olympic size pool and other sporting facilities are just 300 metres away. The Piccadilly line underground train runs from Heathrow and main line trains run from Gatwick. National Express Airbus coaches, which stop at Marble Arch, run from Heathrow and Stansted airports. They are inexpensive and then only a maximum of ten mins walk with your bags. London red buses and the Marble Arch Central Line are just a five minutes walk from your door. A 30 mins walk will take you west to the Notting Hill and Queens Way shops, or just 10 mins to Oxdford St, the West End shps, Trafalgar Sq and and Piccadilly if taken in an easterly direction.

For four persons the charge is £100 a day. Linen can be hired at £10 per person per week or part week. In 2009 THE RATE WILL REMAIN THE SAME at 90 or £100 (IF THERE ARE FOUR PERSONS). The rates are INCLUSIVE and there are ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER TAXES OR CHARGES unless you hire sheets, slips and towels.

  • The entire bathroom has been replaced. Thus the entire suite is new and it includes a very large full length deep tub. The shower is over the bath and is a proper full man size installation. The continual supply boiler ensures that your hot water never runs cold! The walls and the floor are tiled and the wc is the modern wall suspended type. The bath has a thermostatic hot water control which you set to your desired temperature. As the condensing boiler is always on, you should run the hot for 30 secs in order to achieve your preferred temperature. After that, it just continues to supply as much as you wish.

  • The bedroom has two single size beds provided with a mattress cover and duvets with covers and pillows. They can easily be pushed together making a king size double, if required. In the living room, there is a full size double convertible settee. It is the equivalent of a 56' double and very comfortable. It is also provided with its mattress cover, pillows and a duvet. A dressing table with drawers, a wardrobe, two bedroom chairs, bedside tables and shelving complete the bedroom furniture. It is very quiet at night, but those in the living room will hear a little street noise. This is central London!! Personal linen, sheets, slips and towels can be hired from the key holder. They cost £10 per person per week. You can, of course, bring your own if you wish. Access to the bathroom is via the utility area directly from the bedroom.

Notes: Rest assured that this central and ideal location is fully equipped and maintained. The new modern bathroom has a full size bath, a shower and a 'constant supply' boiler. It never runs out! Also, your rooms are quiet, centrally heated and you have a very peaceful bedroom. New duvets have been supplied in November, 2008. The 'double bed' is a very large full size double convertible settee situated in the living room. Private personal key access is secure and easy with wide doorways, no steps and everything at ground floor level. You can be confident that your accommodation is as described, peaceful and secure. You will find the flat a warm haven of calm after too long spent at the shops! Please note that, currently, the flat is in a free WiFi hotspot area. However, it is not controlled by me, so I cannot guarantee your connection. Also,if you turn left out of the flat, there is an Internet Cafe for surfing and printing just 50 metres away.

Local info:: This is a wonderful holiday centre as many of central London's shopping and entertainment attractions are within walking distance. You can come on any day. Hot water and central heating are fed from a continual BRAND NEW (SEPT 2008) hot water source. The Airbus from Heathrow stops at Marble Arch alongside the Central line tube and the red buses to all parts of the city. Paddington station is a 10 minute taxi ride. A coin op launderette with dryers, paper shop and several pubs are only one minute away. Local restaurants of all kinds are nearby. Marks and Spencer, Selfridges, Sainsbury's Waitrose and Somerfield's only a few minutes on foot. The six screen Odeon cinema is only a three minutes walk around the corner. Swimmers can enjoy an Olympic pool, only 300 yards away. Please contact us as early as possible and avoid losing your dates. Thank you.

Domestic notes:: The kitchen area has a shelved peninsular unit, 2 ring electric hob, fridge, microwave, boiling jug and a toaster. Your stainless steel sink unit has a mixer tap with halogen lamps over for lighting. There is also an iron with board and a vacuum cleaner. The sitting room TV is new and receives digital BBC and ITV channels. A small ante room provides storage for utility items and luggage. The bathroom has been totally renewed, re-tiled and all of the suite replaced. You have a deep king size luxury tub with thermostatic controls, a full size stand underneath shower and a very modern wash basin and toilet. Local coin op laundry facilities with dryers are 1 minute away.

Great place for a single female traveller

I stayed here whilst attending a conference in Holborn.
I was very impressed by the flat. It was very secure and had everything I needed for the time I stayed there. The space is ideal for eating in and the rooms well proportioned and spacious.

The location is excellent close to shops, restaurants and tubes and the bedroom was very quiet at night and I am a light sleeper. I heard nothing from neighbours above or below except the front door opening/closing which meant I was undisturbed.

The flat is clean and well maintained and well equipped. Key collection and handover was very smooth

Overall I would recommend - the flat is great value and compares well with hotels in that you can eat in and save considerably on expensive eating out - certainly I now have the bug for flat rental and plan to go back in the future

Great Apartment in Great Location

The apartment fulfilled expectations and presented as described. It is in a very convenient location, very quiet and clean. Had a great stay, would definitely recommend the apartment to others and hope to stay again when next in London.
Additional note:-We utilised the d2d (door to door) bus service from Heathrow. Although this takes longer than underground and train services it was very convenient as we did not have to worry about hauling the luggage around.

Great apartment in Central London

We stayed in the Upper Berkeley flat in May 2009. It was a great location, very close to subway, Hyde Park, and Oxford Street shopping. Just a short subway ride to all London's major attractions.

The apartment was as described, and it was clean and well maintained. We had no trouble getting the keys from Lena, and she was very helpful, as were the shop keepers at Totos. Also I had good communication from Mike. :)

I am very glad we decided to stay at this flat, and would definitely recommend it to friends, and will stay there again when I visit London!

Just spent 3 days in Mikes flat, it has everything you need for a short stay in London. Obtaining the keys was very easy & Emad was so helpful & informative re local amenities. The flat was very clean & very comfortable, it was excellent value & I have recommended it to many friends, hubby & I will definitely be booking again next time we go to London, Thanks again Mike you will be hearing from us again! EXCELLENT!!

nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Londres:

l'appartement de Upper Berkeley Street est très agréable, proche d'Oxford Street, de tous les commerces, et des bus Londoniens.

le rapport qualité/prix est très convenable

par ailleurs en plus des supermarchés à 100 et 500 mètres sur d'edgeware road, il y a aussi un "mini food market" sur upper Berkley Street très pratique à 10 mètres de l'appartement.

Pour le reste, tout s'est très bien passé et en synthèse, nous recommandons cette location tout à fait adaptée pour un séjour de tourisme à Londres
