Perfect location for a visit to London

This apartment was a pleasure to stay in. Warm, comfortable, clean and lots of space! The location is excellent: it's only a 10 minute walk to the nearest Tube station (Tower Hill) or you can hop the #100 bus right into central London. There are several amenities closeby as well, including several cafes and restaurants, a very nice grocery store and a Starbucks :). We loved walking by the Tower of London each day, it was amazing. I'd recommend this apartment in a heartbeat to anyone that was visiting London!

Clean and comfortable

This was a great apartment for 2 people in a residential area adjacent to London Bridge. A big plus for us was being near a good grocery store and gym while a minus was having to wade through the crowds around London Bridge and the Tower of London everytime we went someplace. But that is normal for pretty much everywhere in London. The owner met us scheduled and provided some coffee, milk and other items to get us started. He was very kind and informative. I would definitely recommend this apartment and rent it again. Note, the dryer on the european style all-in-one washers and dryers don't work. If you do laundry in the apartment, you'll have to hang dry everything.

Perfect Retreat in the Big City

Phil and Kaye Queensland Australia
Review Submitted: January 4, 2010 Date of Stay: July 2009
We stayed for a week in July 2009. The owners met us at the unit and gave us a very good rundown on the unit and local surroundings. They supplied us with a very ample food starter kit which was appreciated. The unit was large and very comfortable and very well equiped with all the mod cons. It is located in a gated community with an easy walk to Tower Hill tube staion and major attractions. Waitrose supermarket is located opposite the front gate. The walk to the the tube staion is very pleasant as you walk through the stylish Katherine Docks area. If visiting London again we would stay there again if available as we were very impressed with every aspect of the unit and location.

Four days in London

Ellen - Traveller Richmond, VA USA
Review Submitted: June 23, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Our host wast there to meet us. How pleasant after a long day of traveling. There were a few things in the refrigerator to get us started before we could get to the grocery store. The apartment is charming, clean, homey. It is within walking distance of the metro, a bus stop, grocery store and resturants. It is just a block from St. Katherine's Docks which is a lovely place to walk and stop to eat.
We spent a lovely day in Greenwich which is easy to get to by train. Another day we walked to the Tower Bridge and took the tour. We took our time there. It is well worth the visit. Another day we took the 'tube' to Westminister, walked to the EYE of London and saw the city from the Eye. After that trip we walked all the way back to the Tower Bridge. It is a wonderful walk. We took time out to go on a tour of the Globe Theatre. We saw children digging in the sand, making castles and just enjoyed people watching. We spent the first day in the Theatre District, just walking and enjoying being there. But most of our time was near the apartment which was truly home.
One morning while we were having breakfast the window washers came to wash the windows of the apartment. My husband enjoyed watching the truck getting ready to put the cherry picker in place. We then had a mock water battle with the window washers. I took their picture, they turned the hose at me through the glass. It was a happy way to begin the day.
The apartment came with many tour books and brochures which were very helpful. We learned about the Oyster cards through the brochures that other renters had left. There was even one card that gave us an idea how to use it. The cards make using the tube and bus much easier and cheaper.
We had a wonderful time in London and our apartment. I would recommend it to anyone going to London and we rent the apartment again if we return to London.

Spacious virtually new one bedroom with modern appliances and comfortable bed. It is in a development called St. Katerine's docks so no charm to the neighborhood. supermarket and a few restaurants, but no street life. about a 14 minute walk to the tower tube station. walk up a flight of steps to get to the door. view of courtyard out the window.
highly rec. if that fits your needs.
