There are at least 3 gyms which are walking distance away, who would welcome short term members. One has a swimming pool. The apartment is above a delicatessen, with its own front door on street level. It is a quiet neighbourhood street,safe and friendly.

Golf: Nearest Golf Course is at Chiswick, by the River Thames which is a 10 minute car journey.

Other Activities: Holland Park is 5 min away also Olympia Exhibition Centre

Lovely stay in Kensington!

I traveled with a friend to London in September 2009 for a vacation. The apartment was a wonderful option for two adults traveling together. It was charming and tidy place and just the right size. There were two comfortable bedrooms and two baths, providing plenty of room. The living areas of the apartment were bright, nicely furnished and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of crockery for cooking and there was a washing machine for clothes washing. There was no clothes dryer, but clothes dried quickly when hung to dry.

The neighborhood was very quiet and very close to the Olympia tube station. There were several small markets for simple purchases and a well stocked Waitrose market a few blocks away. Yvonne, the owner of the apartment was very helpful and provided us with a number of resources and information, including information on a wonderful transportation service. We could not have had a lovelier place to stay. The apartment is highly recommended!

An excellent holiday rental for stays in London. Perfect for 2 couples travelling together. Fully equipped modern appliances with close proximity to major shopping. Ample cooking utensils and sufficient crockery for entertaining. Bedrooms located upstairs providing separation from immediate living area. High quality linens provided for beds and bath. Good water pressure for showers. Living area is comfortable with LCD TV and easy connect Wi-Fi if you have a laptop.

Apartment was very clean with lots of supplies available for our use (soaps, detergents, broom etc.). Kitchen also had initial supply of coffee filters, limited spices, cooking oil etc.

Terrace with chairs and picnic table available for warm weather stays.

Location: easy access to Kensington High Street buses (2 minutes) and Kensington High Street Underground (15 minutes). Olympia Underground is closer but less convenient. Easy enjoyable walk to Kensington Gardens & Palace, Portabello Road, Notting Hill etc. Holland Park (5 minutes) beautiful natural area.

Friendly owner who met us uppon arrival and provided good explanation of accommodation and nearby services. Apartment contained good supply of maps and directions.

Local neighbourhood shop owners very helpful with additional directions when required.

Points to consider:
Kitchen table can seat 4 only but additional can sit around coffee table in living room.
Two full sets of narrow stairs - apartment living space is above store front and bedrooms are an additional flight of stairs.

All in all.... staying at this location proved to be a highlight of our trip to the UK. Highly recommended.

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers) would highly recommend this accommodation. It was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped; just as advertised. Yvonne was very gracious, welcoming, and helpful in giving recommendations about the nearby restaurants, shopping and attractions. The apartment was very close to transit (both the underground and buses) and High Street was only a short walk away as well. We actually arrived in London by train, took the underground to the apartment (short walk, about 2 blocks) and again used the underground to get to the airport when we were leaving. There is no need for a car or taxi from this apartment's location. It was lovely to relax on the deck after a long day of sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our 8 day stay in this lovely Kensington apartment. I was with my wife and 2 adult daughters and there was plenty of room for all, especially with the 2 bathrooms and outside terrace. The apartment is fully equiped and was exactly as it appears on the web site. The location provided a perfect base from which to explore London either by underground or bus. The latter was our preferred method. Staying in Kensington was also nice as it enabled us to experience some of the local life away from the main tourist areas. Don't hesitate to rent this apartment as it sure beats staying in a hotel. The reservation process was easy and Yvonne, the owner was quick to respond by e-mail to any questions that I had prior to our arrival.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Appartment in der Innenstadt von London.
Die nächste U-Bahn Station ist (Kensingten Olympia oder Kensigten Highstreet direkt um die Ecke (2 bzw 5 min Fußweg).
Zur Versorgung mit Lebensmitteln ein kleiner Laden direkt nebenan (mit täglich frischen Brötchen etc.)
Die Wohnung ist sauber und gut ausgestattet (besonders die Küche, Sat Fernseher und WIFI Internetzugang). Besonders gut hat uns auch die kleine Terasse gefallen.
Netter Kontakt mit der Vermieterin, alles hat zu unserer (Familie mit 2 Kindern) vollsten Zufriedenheit geklappt. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.
