The description of the holiday cottage was accurate, it was spacious, homely and located in a rural setting, home from home. Having access to the whole barn was ideal, having 10 in our party, it gave us the space to move around, without feeling like we were living on top of each other . The beds were comfy, and we all slept really well.
It was well equipped, however, the saucepans etc could of been bigger, we struggled to cook using just one pan for each food item. There was everything to hand, just not big enough.
The cottage was dusty, with cobwebs and the furniture was well worn, however, this was of no real concern to us. Taking in the views, in the peacefull tranquilty of the countryside, made up for it. We had a wonderful time, my two teenage sons loved it, playing football outside, taking the dog for a walk and fitting in a game of golf. We chilled during the evening, in the comfortable lounge. I would recommend this for a quiet getaway, I find it difficult to fault because we had a brilliant time, the only downside was returning home! We will be returning, thats for certain.
We didn't see much of Jane, she popped in on our first night, but I knew if I needed her she was on the end of the phone. The people living behind the cottage were very friendly, it also gave some sense of security, because it is rural. Theres plenty to occupy your time, if your looking to get out and about, but it's a good place to recharge your batteries, if thats what you need.
