Walnut Tree Farm is a 17th Century farmhouse in the pretty Norfolk village of Swanton Abbott. Situated on the edge of the village an ideal position to discover the many delights of the county. The capital of the Norfolk Broads, Wroxham is 5 miles away and the North Norfolk Heritage coast and the beaches of Cromer, Sheringham Mundesley are only a short drive away. The holiday Barn comprises a self-contained barn at the end of a small range of farm buildings. The Barn, converted from an old dairy, and now providing comfortable accommodation for up to four people was awarded 4 **** Tourist board rating this year and in 2003 received a Norfolk Society award for the renovation work.

Swanton Abbott is a quiet Norfolk village located 5 miles from the Norfolk Broads and 8 miles from the North Norfolk Beaches. Our favourites are Cromer (for the Pier), Overstrand, Stiffkey and Wells. You can shop locally at North Walsham, Wroxham or Aylsham where you can catch the miniature stream railway to Wroxham to visit Roys Department Store or to enjoy a broads cruise or hire a day boat. You may wish to visit the Cathedral City of Norwich which is a mixture of old and new, being a medieval centre with two shopping malls and ' Norwich Lanes'. You can also visit the two National Trust properties of Blickling Hall and Felbrigg which are under half an hour's drive away. Lots of people bring their bikes and enjoy cycling on the quiet lanes. For children there is Wroxham Barns with its Junior Farm and craft barns and also Bewilderwood an outdoor adventure park both a short drive away. Swanton Abbott is well situated to visit all of these places without having to drive far.

Notes: Wide doorways and one level make the barn suitable for wheelchair users. Cars can be parked very close to the entrance door if needed. Level brickweave yard outside the barn with level lawned area. The living area is beamed with patio style windows looking out over the garden. Divans with drawer under in bedrooms. Underfloor heating throughout. Bathroom has large walk in shower with glass surround instead of bath. The barn has won a CPRE award for the renovation work.
