Kingfisher a fantastic comfortable lodge with light airy lounge and dining area with its panoramic bay windows is comfortably furnished for up to four guests. French doors lead onto a large decked patio with teak furniture. Entertainment includes a TV with video, DVD player, CD audio system with radio, as well as local interest books, novels, maps and board games. The efficient central heating system can be supplemented by an electric fire set in a feature fireplace to ensure year round comfort. A few steps to all the pool restaurant bar and lake side.

  • WE ACCEPT ALL MAJOR CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS
    NO HIDDEN EXTRAS. Prices include gas electric We make the beds for your arrival and provide personal & kitchen towels.
    Basic starters provided e.g. tea coffee sugar milk condiments, soaps washing up liquids dishwasher tabs foils etc.
    PLEASE BRING LEISURE TOWELS. The leisure facilities & Gym are optional extras and a programme of your requirements can be made to suit at the pool.
    We do not wish to start deposit schemes we prefer to trust your appreciation of arriving to a beautiful & cared for lodge, that you would leave it in the condition you found it.
    While we understand that accidents or mishaps do happen, we ask that you take all steps to minimise any permanent damage and inform us of any breakages of defects at any time or when you hand back the key. Beds made for your arrival & personal towels are provided.
  • The Small Print
    N.B. Please note that payments made are not refundable and we recommend that you take out holiday insurance to reimburse you for any unforeseen event including loss of amenities which we have no control over which gives you cause to cancel or curtail your booking
    LIABILITY Lakeland lodges do not accept any liability to any person or member of the holiday booking for any personal injury, sickness, loss or damage theft to personal property or money however sustained. We reserve the right to forthwith terminate any letting that the hirer or hirers party cause any deliberate or negligent damage to the property being let. Or behaves in such a way as to cause nuisance to adjoining lodges. In such a case the hirer remains liable for the remaining let.
  • Deposits WHICH ARE NON REFUNDABLE:

    £50. for breaks up to £250
    £100 for breaks over £251

    Balance is required 4 weeks before arrival.
    Refunds less deposits are only available if manage to rebook your dates from 4weeks prior to arrival. We reserve the right to re book any period not paid for in full from the 4 week period
    Holidays booked within the four week period are payable in full when booking.
    Invoices are issued on receipt of deposit giving the final payment date.

Fantastic lodge, great holiday

Wow! What a fabulous lodge, so light and airy - much better than I had imagined and in a prime position overlooking the park with views of the lake and the distant hills beyond and only a minute's walk from the leisure centre and restaurant. Well maintained, spacious and immaculately clean and so well equipped we wanted for nothing. Graham, our host who greeted us was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of how to get the most from our stay.
The landscaped park itself is very peaceful, clean and tidy with a beautiful lake with fountain and plenty of wildlife.
The Waters Edge restaurant on site was excellent - friendly service and good food, well presented. The two-course menu for £10 was especially good value. There are also lots of places to eat locally if you don't feel like cooking.
The surrounding areas are so scenic and varied - coast and country - we were spoilt for choice, but useful leaflets and maps were helpfully provided in the lodge.There are lots of lovely walks and we particularly enjoyed the canal walk - so beautiful and peaceful - and also the Morecambe Bay area.
All in all it's a fantastic area and we had a great holiday though a week wasn't long enough to do all we wanted. Next time we hope to explore The Lake District and The Yorkshire Dales a bit more.

Lodge lovely and cosy, well equipped. Boys enjoyed the ducks and visited the swimming pool every day. Plenty of visitor attractions, all within 10 – 30 mins drive. Had a really great time. Our third visit. Julia and John (Oldham)
