The 4-star pine lodges are set in the woodland haven of Darwin Forest Country Park, just 4 miles from Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. The lodges provide four-star self-catering holiday accommodation. Leisure facilities include heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gymnasium and beauty therapy, tennis courts, woodland walks, Forester's Inn (bar/restaurant) and mini-golf. The lodges are suitable for holidays all year round. Short breaks are available as well as full week holidays. Other local attractions include the Heights of Abraham, Alton Towers, Carsington Water as well as the towns and villages of the Peak District including Bakewell and Matlock. The Hartington Skyline lodge has a floor plan of 47ft x 20ft, with a separate entrance lobby, open plan lounge/ dining/kitchen area and four bedrooms. Ideal for large families or groups sharing. The lodges provide generous living space and combine comfortable accommodation with contemporary decoration and furnishings. Each is fully equipped with crockery, linen and towels and is furnished to the highest standards. A dishwasher and fridge/freezer are included. Flat screen TV, CD and DVD players are provided.

Out and About: As well as being a superb area for walking and touring, the Peak District includes historic gems such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall as well as a number of National Trust Properties. Many sports are available locally including climbing, pot holing, sailing, paragliding, golf, fishing etc, etc. For the children, theme parks include Alton Towers, Heights of Abraham, Gulliver's Kingdom, The American Adventure and Drayton Manor.

Golf Courses: Darwin Forest is close to a number of excellent golf courses where visitors are welcome. In particular, Tapton Golf Club in Chesterfield offers excellent facilities on its 27 hole course. Book for playing times on +44 (0)1246 239500 or +44 (0)1246 273887 for general enquiries. This course is some 6 miles from Darwin. Matlock Golf Club allows visitors to play mid-week on its 18 hole course, tel +44 (0)1629 582191. This hilly and challenging course is just 3 miles from the Park. Sickleholme Golf Club also offers excellent facilities, with visitors welcome as long as they have a handicap.
