As well as the golden sandy cove, Trevone has a wide, rocky beach with shells, rock pools and a natural swimming pool. This part of the North Cornish coast, where the Atlantic waves pound the shore, is very popular for surfing. There are lovely scenic walks on the coastal path, westwards towards Harlyn, Trevose Head and beyond, or north-east to Tregudder Gorge, Stepper Point, the Camel estuary and Padstow.
The harbour at Padstow is flanked by charming old buildings and bustling narrow streets. The town is a busy tourist centre, and has a variety of restaurants and eating places, including its famous Seafood Restaurant. A pedestrian and cycle ferry runs from Padstow to Rock where sailing, windsurfing and water skiing are available. Golf clubs are found at Constantine and St Enodoc.
Cornwall has many interesting places to visit. Local attractions include include Prideaux Place, an Elizabethan house in Padstow, Pencarrow House and Gardens near Wadebridge, Lanhydrock House (Bodmin), Trerice Manor (Newquay). Further afield are The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project near St Austell, and of course well known attractions such as Lands End, St Michael's Mount and the Tate Gallery in St Ives.
