Our cottage is situated in beautiful surroundings with wonderful views stretching to Dartmoor, yet close to the amenities of Launceston a small market town the ancient capital of Cornwall. All the cottages share the facilities of a heated indoor swimming pool, paddling pool, sauna, games room, children's play area, extensive gardens and fishing (seasonal). Launceston itself is very historic with its Norman castle, museum and 16th century church, it has many interesting shops, restaurants, pubs, takeaways and supermarkets. The area offers many interesting places to visit, National Trust properties, the Eden project and many tourist attractions. The cottages are centrally situated to visit the North and South coasts of Cornwall & Devon with wonderful walks and both Dartmoor and Bodmin moor with all the traces of the historic mining tradition. Many fishing villages are within easy reach, Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Issac, Mevigissey, Looe, Polperro,Rock and Padstow.

Trelawney is a 2 bedroomed cottage with a double bedroom and the second bedroom having bunk beds and a single bed. It has a fully tiled bathroom with bath and shower over bath, toilet and washbasin. The living room is very comfortably furnished with colour television, DVD & Video player & CD player. The dining area has seating for 5 and the galley kitchen is fully equipped with full size electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and all the crockery, cutlery and utensils necessary for a very enjoyable self catering holiday. The heating which is storage heaters is included in the rental price, electricity for cooking, lighting and hot water is on a £1 meter. The living room opens onto a large gated patio which in turn leads onto an communal area of lawn and flower beds.

We are ideally situated to see all that Cornwall and North and South Devon has to offer. Beautiful countryside, Dartmoor and Bodmin moor within a short drive. The coast just 16 miles away with sheltered coves or big expanses of surfing beach, little fishing villages or larger resorts. Many tourist attractions are within a few miles Farm parks, Otter Sanctuary, Steam railway, museums & historic buildings. The Eden Project is one of Cornwall premier tourist attractions and well worth a visit. Cornwall has a rich mining history and many traces of its past can be seen as well as older ancient monuments, stone circles etc.

The storage heating is included in the rental price but electricity for the lighting, cooking and hot water is on a £1 meter . We can provide bedlinen and towels but we charge for the hire of them. £6 for duvet cover, sheet and pillowcases on double bed, £4 for single set. £3 per person for towels (1 hand and 1 bath). This cottage is on the ground floor with just 2 steps to the front door. |
Beautiful countryside
Tamara is situated in beautiful countryside with far reaching views to Dartmoor. Launceston is less than 1 mile away and is the ancient capital of Cornwall with its ruined Norman Castle, narrow streets, Southgate Arch, the 16th century St Marys Church and a museum. Launceston has some very interesting shops, coffee shops and many varied takeaways and some excellent restaurants. On the outskirts of the town you will find 3 supermarkets, Tescos, Lidls and the Cooperative.
Tourist attractions nearby
Many tourist attractions are within easy reach, within 3 miles can be found Trethorne Leisure Farm and Golf Club (so ideal for all the family) , Launceston Steam Railway running along the Kensey Valley ending at New Mills Farm park. Less than 10 miles is the Otter Sanctuary and Roadford Lake with sailing and walks. The spectacular North Cornish coast is 18 miles away, Bude, Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay being the closest beaches. Within an hours drive can be found a whole array of Tourist attractions such as the famous Eden Project, the National Aquarium, Morwellham Quay, Lydford Gorge to name but a few. Cornwall & Devon abound with quaint towns and fishing villages such as Mevaggissey, Polperro,Looe, Port Issac, Boscastle and Tintagel. For the walkers, horseriding and historic interest, to the east is the Dartmoor National Park with its rugged tors with its pretty villages nestling in the valleys and to the west can be found Bodmin Moor with its ancient stone circles.
