Dating back to the 18th Century, Myrtle Cottage is a beautiful traditional Fisherman's Cottage. Tucked away in a pretty cobbled courtyard, the cottage lies at the heart of Mevagissey, a delightful unspoilt fishing village steeped in history. Recently refurbished to exceptionally high standards, Myrtle Cottage is just a minute's walk away from the harbour, where you will find an alluring web of narrow cobbled streets, craft workshops, galleries, shops, restaurants & cosy inns. The Eden project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are just a short drive away, and stunning coastal walks and sandy beaches are on your doorstep. Over three levels, the accommodation comprises a master bedroom with super king bed and ensuite shower/toilet, a king size bedroom and a twin with adult bunk beds. There is a large family bathroom with separate shower and the top floor kitchen/diner has rooftop views of the harbour and sea. The sitting room has an open fire, and leads out to a decked garden with BBQ.

Mevagissey is a unique working 14th Century fishing village situated on the South Cornish Riviera coast. In the narrow streets craft workshops sit side by side with shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants and pubs which were once the haunt of Cornish smugglers. The towns of St Austell and Truro with a full range of shops and supermarkets are a short drive away. Close attractions include the world famous Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the historic tall ships town of Charlestown. Mevagissey enjoys stunning scenery, cycle trails and unspoilt National Trust beaches. Unlike most villages, it is open all year round and has some spectacular coastal walks. **I will definitely recommend Myrtle to friends, it is a great place to stay and the service we received from my initial enquiry onwards was fantastic, your regular up dates, great pictures and recommendations to the very great attention to detail of the cottage itself, including, after a long drive, the chilled bottle of wine!
**Lovely house, lovely location. House has all you need - you've thought of everything!
**We can't wait to come back. The cottage is lovely - a real home from home.
**Arrived home a couple of hours ago and miss Myrtle already!
**We had a wonderful time in Mevagissey. Your cottage was wonderful. You really did an exceptional job with the renovation. Everything was brilliant.
We hope to come back soon as Meva is a great base for exploring all of Cornwall. Thank you Debbie for your attentiveness and hospitality - the cottage is gorgeous!

Delightful cottage, very well equipped and really clean with nice views over rooftops to harbour. Quiet location but very close to the village centre and harbour. The roof level terrace was a lovely surprise and was a real sun trap, very private too. Wifi useful. Excellent customer service from the owner. Negatives - difficult to unload/load without blocking the narrow road and the car park was a few mins' walk away. However for us (family of 4 with 2 teenagers) the positives outweighed these and I would thoroughly recommend the cottage and Mevagissey. Good restaurants (we liked the portugese one in particular) and good base for lovely walks.
