Pollywinky Cottage has been decorated and updated, ideal for beach holiday or cosy winter break. With a pretty enclosed front lawn and back yard, it is suitable for families of all ages. Situated on a quiet no-through lane with lovely views across fields. An idyllic 10 min walk down through fields and by a stream leads to Trebarwith Strand beach with golden sands and excellent surfing in summer, rolling waves and rock pools in winter. The Coastal Path is only 5 mins walk and Pollywinky's location makes exploring North Cornwall easy. Legendary Tintagel is 1 mile away and the Camel Estuary and its many surrounding beaches 30 mins drive. The Mill House Inn and Port William Pub, serving great food, are within walking distance. The cottage has central heating, wood burning stove and broadband. There is car parking for 1 car. We have stayed in many rental properties ourselves and hence have created a comfortable, family-friendly cottage with an attractive interior. Email us for our website.

Pollywinky is located in the quiet hamlet of Treknow 10 mins idyllic walk from Trebarwith Strand. In summer the beach is wide and sandy and available for 6 hours over the low tide period, with some of the best surfing in Cornwall. It is ideal for families and lifeguards are on duty from May till Sept. The Coastal Path with its outstanding walking and spectacular views is 500 yards from the cottage. Other nearby beaches are at Polzeath, a surfer's paradise and Daymer Bay, home of John Betjemen and St Enodoc Church. Mystical Tintagel, with King Arthur's castle ruins and the Round Table is 1 mile away. The sweet harbour village of Port Isaac is within easy reach as is Padstow, via the ferry at Rock or 30 mins by car. Nearby places of interest are the grand houses of Pencarrow and Lanhydrock and the Eden Project - 45 mins drive. There is golf at Trethorne Golf Club, sailing and water sports at Rock, cycling and nature on the Camel Trail, fishing in Padstow and riding nearby. Info supplied.

Notes: There is a wood burning stove in the living room and the sofas are leather. There is a hatch between the kitchen and dining room. The garden is completely enclosed. There is a garden table, two garden benches, and a lounger. For children there is a travel cot, high-chair, booster seat, step, baby bouncy chair, baby mat and stair gate available. We have a trustworthy babysitter (our cleaner) available - please email for further details. The cottage has free wireless broadband access. The TV is a combination DVD player and there is a speaker system for i pods/mp3 players. There is a video player with a selection of children videos and some DVDs. There are some games and books at the cottage. There is plenty of information on the surrounding local and more widespread areas, as well as maps and local walks booklets.

-Your cottage left nothing to be desired. It has been delightful thanks to your great care. Trebarwith a peach. So peaceful and so convenient for the Strand!
-We've had a lovely time here. We found everything we needed and have enjoyed the surrounding beaches.
-We've had a lovely, restful holiday. Our sons are quite big but with great surfing, cricket on the radio and cold beer we all managed to have a great time. Lovely accommodation - everything we could want. Thanks.
-We had a lovely peaceful holiday. The cottage is great, we found everything we needed and the beds were so comfortable. We loved the beach at Trebarwith - good for body boarding. The Port William pub is worth a visit, great location.

What a wonderful week

This cottage was superbly well apointed with everything we could have required in the kitchen and throughout. It was a clean and cheerful base for our holiday.
The location was good for exploring the region - our max journey was down to St Michaels Mount in about 1 hour 20 mins - although the nature of the county means you do do a lot of driving to get about and some of the roads are a bit hair raising for drivers of a nervous disposition! However Padstow, Port Isaac, Tintagel and Boscastle - all lovely villages are within relatively easy distance. We walked down the hill to the Port William pub on a number of occasions - Trebarwith Strand is beautiful.
The welcome pack we got on arrival was helpful and the owners had given us all the information we required in advance as well.
I would definately recommend this property and would consider going back to it if I was going back to the area.
