Visit Britain 4 STAR AWARD Swallows Cottage: - - “The Swallows” is a spacious single storey barn, with beamed ceilings throughout, dating back to 1800. It has its own enclosed garden, situated within 10 acres of land in a peaceful rural setting amongst rolling Cornish Countryside. The cottage sleeps maximum of 5 people. The cottage is fully equipped for a self-catering holiday. We offer special rates for couples either side of peak times.

Swallows Cottage is situated approximately 3 miles from Boscastle & Tintagel on the beautiful rugged North Coast of Cornwall. Beaches can be found at Widemouth Bay, Trebarwith Strand & Polzeath . The famous village of Padstow is well worth a visit. The cottage which is single storey can be found just off the Atlantic Highway about a mile down a single track lane , where you can enjoy tranquility at the end of a busy day exploring the area. There are many things to do and see in Cornwall and in the Cottage you will find details on many attractions and some places to eat.The cottage is kept to a very high standard and It is available throughout the year. Well behaved pets are welcome.

ABOUT US: We are very proud of our 4 Star Award from Visit Britain. The cottage is deceptively larger than it appears. It is home from home and very comfortable. It has a modern oil fired boiler and radiators throughout the cottage. We are always here to welcome you on arrival and provide a welcome tray after your journey. Two lovely Border Collies called 'Meggie' and 'Jet' share our lives and we breed Alpacas for their exquisite fleece and to date have a small herd of 17 - having had three new additions this Summer, a beautiful boy called 'Pepe' and a lovely little girl called 'Rosi' then a dear litle chap called 'Suni' (who unfortuneatlly has been ill but hopefully will make a good recovery). All of them a pure white. Last year's cria were two gilrs and a boy and they have grown into beautiful animals. They are all adorable creatures - intelligent, discerning,curious and sociable. They are also docile,gentle and easily trained.

BEDROOMS : In the master bedroom there is a ' King sized bed', bedside cabinets a dressing table with mirror and a free standing wardrobe. There are a further two single bedrooms - one single bed has a pull out visitor bed from underneath it and this makes up a 5th bed. All bedding is provided as are white bath and hand towels. There are extra blankets for the beds should they be needed.

OTHER INFORMATION : JUST COUPLES - although we are fully equipped for families we do welcome couples on their own or bringing a pet with them and we offer special rates either side of peak times. Do please telephone or e-mail to ask. WATER - we have our very own water supply from a Spring nearby. This is treated and tested - we hold a Certificate to certify that it meets our local Council's requirements. HEATING - The cottage has a modern oil fired heating system and is very cosy in the Winter -. There is also a modern electric coal effect stove in the hearth.

The Dennisons - Yorkshire ....... What a fantastic place. We have all enjoyed our break and it was great to come back at the end of a busy day with the children to a lovely cottage and friendly faces and not forgetting the two dogs. Daymer Bay is great and also Boscastle Pottery worth a visit. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality.
