Hyperion Lodge is situated in the grounds of a private country estate on the peaceful Roseland Peninsula. Set in well kept grounds with beautiful sea views. Both lounge and master bedroom have fantastic views across Gerrans Bay towards Gull Rock. The Lodge has a large veranda with garden furniture. The lounge is comfortably furnished and has Satellite TV, Video, DVD and Hi-Fi system. For those looking to truly self cater the kitchen is fully equipped with Electric Oven and Hob, Dishwasher, Fridge, Freezer and Washer Dryer. The lodge has a full inventory of cutlery, china and glassware. The Master bedroom has a private balcony and en suite bathroom with bath and shower. For those who simply want a peaceful base from which to discover Pubs and Restaurants the Roseland Peninsula boasts a total of 13 AA Rosettes. Guests of Hyperion Lodge benefit from free access to an indoor pool a 300 meter stroll from the lodge.

Just under 100 miles from Exeter, set sufficiently in the country to be away from it all whilst having comfortable access to the rest of Cornwall. Hyperion Lodge is located 1 mile beyond the village of Portscatho on the Roseland Peninsula. Local quiet beaches a mile away. The lodge is also a comfortable distance from the Eden Project and the Great Gardens of Cornwall such as Heligan, Trelissick, Trebah to name only a few. St Mawes is an easy drive with foot ferry sailings to Falmouth or take the King Harry Chain Ferry to access the West. National Trust and English Heritage sites to visit, Cornish villages and wonderful coastal walks. The lodge has parking for 2 cars. The village of Portscatho has a very well stocked local shop, and a quality butchers (try the sausages!). There are art galleries and a craft shop. Portscatho has a pub called 'The Plume of Feathers' whilst neighbouring Gerrans has 'The Royal Standard'.

  • Please note that when you wish to confirm your booking I will make use of a local agent to ensure you receive a level of local service that will ensure you have a relaxing stay. A £20 booking fee is charged (included in the above rates).

    Dogs - up to two dogs accepted with a charge of £30 per week per pet.

    Bed linen is included in the above prices.

    Towels, Cots and High Chairs can be provided - Please ask for confirmation of charges.

    Deposit of £150 per week will be required to guarantee your reservation with the balance due 6 weeks prior to your holiday.
  • In an attempt to ease your drive to Cornwall I have adopted a Friday changeover day - the roads tend to be quieter! Your holiday runs from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure. Short Breaks may be available outside the main season - running from Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday, please enquire for rates.

  • All beds have Silentnight Miracoil mattresses. The Master bedroom has a private balcony with views across Gerrans Bay, the double bed has bedside tables each with reading lamp. The bedroom has a full length mirror and pine chest of drawers. The Landing leading to the en suite bathroom has a wardrobe. The en suite bathroom has heated towel rail, WC bath and shower. The two twin bedded rooms (Puffin Nuffin & Tern on a Tap) have reading lamps, pine wardrobes and chests of drawers.

Notes: The Indoor swimming pool and Sauna are a 300 meter walk from the lodge, opening hours vary depending on the season. The Estate has large areas of lawn ideal for Children to play safely and woodland walks with stunning views across the Percuil river to St Mawes and Carrick Roads. Well behaved Pets are allowed at the lodge for an additional fee provided they do not enter the bedroom areas and are not left alone in the lodge at any time.

A quiet short break

Well above average accommodation in quiet (term time visit) park setting. Very well equiped and furnished. Good location for visiting the area which has numerous "low key" attractions, walks and good places to eat out. The park "pool/sauna/spa bath" facility is also very good, clean and modern - a real treat. All in all just what's needed if you want a relaxing chill-out. Park staff very friendly and helpful and offered help about the locality and directions etc.
