Hideaway Cottage has been lovingly restored using Cornish stone and slate, which has allowed it to retain its original charm but offering luxury modern day comforts. The cottage is in a secluded position, accessed through a passageway between neighbouring cottages, but is only a two minute walk from Padstow's picturesque harbour, restaurants and shops. The cottage is built over 3 storeys and is able to accommodate 5/6 people (+ baby) with all 3 bedrooms having the luxury of en-suite facilities. If you are the lucky occupants of the master bedroom, as you look out of the window across the rooftops of Padstow, you will be able to view the golden sands and blue sea of the Camel Estuary. Hideaway Cottage: The ground floor comprises of the kitchen/lounge area which is open plan with ceramic floor tiles. The fitted kitchen in beech wood has a gas hob & electric oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and plenty of saucepans, crockery etc. A dining table is situated in the kitchen and seats six people should you wish to stay in, cook and enjoy a meal at home. The lounge has 2 comfy sofas positioned in front of a lovely Cornish stone open fireplace. A colour TV with FreeView digital channels, DVD player with a selection of DVDs and a CD player are provided. COURTYARD There is a small courtyard at the front of the cottage which has a table and a couple of chairs for you to use. Potted plants add that little extra colour.

Bedrooms: BEDROOM 1 - The room with the fabulous sea view. The bedroom is large, roomy and has a romantic feel to it. The pine bed is a double with a bedside table either side. By the window is a table and two chairs placed to admire the view across the estuary to Rock allowing you to spend as much time as you wish just looking out to sea - maybe sipping a chilled glass of wine or your morning cup of tea - whatever you like doing best. There is a lovely alcove in this room which incorporates a pine dressing table and mirror. DAB Radio with iPod Dock. BEDROOM 2 - This room has twin beds, a pine bedside table and pine wardrobe. The en-suite to this room has both a bath and overhead shower/shower screen. BEDROOM 3 - This room has a single pine bed which cleverly hides away an additional single bed should your party consist of six. There is also a pine bedside table and wardrobe.

Perfectly situated with everything on your doorstep. You can live home from home with a well equipped house, or be down right lazy like us & do very little other than walk, eat out at the numerous local options, or get food in from the local options & eat at home without cooking ! Our 9 month little boy seem to enjoy it too.

Really Convenient Location

What a great place, hideaway is an apt name, away from the hustle and bustle outside! We had only a 2 day stay here but it created a lasting impression. Firstly, the pictures don't do it justice, the inside is well thought out with a top to bottom renovation being completed to a very high standard. It is kept really clean and they haven't skimped on the beds either, very comfy! As for instructions for the house and advice for local attractions, it's all there, couldn't have done better myself. Sadly there is no parking with the property but there is a carpark virtually next door, though we didn't need it because we managed to park up the road. The main advantage is the location, a stroll into town takes only a couple of minutes where there is enough choice of eateries for most budgets.
We have rented many properties in Padstow, this property is up there with the best, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Will definitely stay again!

Lovely cottage, great location

The cottage is tucked away down a little alley and looks deceptively small from the outside - inside it was beautifully clean and very well thought-out. It was also lovely and warm. The top-most room has an amazing view over the rooftops of Padstow and onto the harbour, and is lovely and spacious. We all appreciated our en-suite bathrooms (which made getting ready to go out much easier!) and although the two first-floor bedrooms are somewhat smaller, there was still adequate room.

The best thing about the cottage is its location, 2 minutes walk from the centre of Padstow. Padstow is enchantingly pretty with lots of good places to eat. We also had an absolutely dire pub meal, but the Basement Cafe the following evening more than made up for it. We only stayed 3 nights, and felt we hadn't really explored the area throroughly, but found a beautiful beach about 4 miles away, and also visited the Eden Project about 20 miles away.

I would definitely reccomend this cottage and will hopefully be returning!
