Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park

Ghyllburn Cottage is a ground floor bungalow that sleeps six people in two double and one twin bedroom with two bathrooms. It consists of a large airy sitting room with real coal fire, flat screen tv, dvd and fantastic views towards the Lion and the Lamb and Steel Fell. The kitchen is fully equipped with a washer/drier, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, large dining table to seat 6 people with stunning views from picture windows towards Grasmere. The back patio has views towards Helvellyn with a full range of garden furniture. Ample parking is available.

Located just outside Grasmere village, next door to the famous Traveller's Rest Inn - Renowned for it's Good Food, Jennings Ale and an extensive wine list - this cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District.

Ghyllburn Cottage is located on the outskirts of Grasmere village in the heart of the Lake District, making it the perfect base from which to explore this magnificent region. The picturesque lakes and mountains for which the region is famous are within easy reach. The cottage itself is surrounded by some of the best scenery and hiking trails in the Lake District. There are many outdoor activity centres nearby offering a huge range of activities and courses from horse riding to sailing and climbing to canoeing. The towns of Windermere, Ambleside and Keswick are just a short drive away with plenty of attractions and entertainments to keep the whole family happy. Grasmere village with its pubs, restaurants, art galleries and shops is an easy 10 minute walk away. With a vast array of spectacular scenery - from bracken covered fells to rugged mountains and forested valleys to picturesque lakes, The Lake District is a wonderful place to visit at any time of year

Gorgeous cottage

We very much enjoyed our stay here, just wish it were for longer. The place is well set out and furnished nicely. The food was good in the Inn next door too! Grasmere is a lovely little village that is not that far away. A lot quieter than say Windermere. Thanks for having us!
