Moon Cottage is English Charm

I'd found Moon Cottage on the Internet on my second "click" and thought this is the place for us and I was right. My husband and I stayed in Moon Cottage for 11 days in June 2011 and were totally enchanted with the place and also the surrounding beauty of the countryside. I had lived in the area for 10 years back in the '60s but this was my husband's first visit so it was lovely for both of us. We were welcomed warmly by Jan and all the arrangements for keys and instructions were perfect. What we loved most about Moon Cottage was sitting in the conservatory for our meals and watching the many species of birds that visited the garden. The birds were busy all day flitting around and singing their songs, especially on those wonderful sunny English summer days, of which we had several. We chose to stay home a couple of days and read instead of going out visiting. However, when we did visit friends and family we never had more than a 35 minute drive and so the cottage was very well situated for us. Also, the day we went to London, it was a quick and easy drive to the station and off we went. The cottage is very well maintained, the kitchen is stocked with china and utensils, and the linens are beautifully laundered. The garden also is lovely and a sun trap when the weather is warm. It has all the comforts of home. The property is tri-level and so you need to be comfortable with stairs. We will definitely stay at Moon Cottage again and recommend it highly.
