Elder Cottage is a very special detached self-catering Cotswolds holiday cottage for two. Only minutes from Stratford upon Avon, Broadway and Chipping Campden, it is perfectly located for exploring this beautiful area. Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace and historic Cheltenham are all within easy reach. There are many National Trust properties in the area, with Hidcote Gardens only a stones throw away. Great attention has been paid to detail and the cottage provides you with everything you will need during your holiday. The cottage is in the conservation area of the pretty Cotswold village of Mickleton. Tucked away in a peaceful location and enjoying a pretty, private garden, Elder Cottage is a few minutes walk from two excellent inns, Post Office and village shop.

At the northern end of the Cotswolds, Mickleton, home of the world-famous Pudding Club, is a pretty village just 3 miles from Chipping Campden, 8 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon (home of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre) and 8 miles from Broadway. With beautiful walks from the front door, Elder Cottage is an ideal base for touring or just relaxing. Nearby attractions include Kiftsgate Gardens (1 mile), Bourton-on-the-Water (12 miles), Stow-on-the-Wold (12 miles), Warwick Castle (16 miles) and Blenheim Palace (35 miles). There are notable National Trust properties at Hidcote (1 mile), the Fleece Inn at Bretforton (5 miles) and Snowshill Manor (10 miles). Mickleton is ideally situated for trips further into the Cotswolds to the south or the 'Heart of England' to the north and east - Worcester, Warwick, Cheltenham and Oxford are all within an easy drive of an hour or less.

  • Whole weeks: the deposit of 40% must be paid at the time of booking, and the balance must be paid 8 weeks before arrival. For bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival, the whole rental must be paid at the time of booking.
  • Short breaks: 3 or 4 night breaks are charged at 70% of the weekly rental. For stays longer than a week, extra days are normally charged at one seventh of the weekly rate. Please contact us for confirmation of the price.
  • Lettings are from 3pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure.

Local Facilities: Lying at the very heart of the village, Elder Cottage is one minute's walk from the nearest pub and the Post Office/shop. The main village stores, second pub and the Pudding Club at the Three Ways Hotel are all within two minute's walk.

Before you arrive: Please note that the nearest pub, The King's Arms, is very popular for dining and booking is essential for Friday nights, Saturday nights and Sunday lunchtimes. Please let us know if you would like us to make a reservation on your behalf. If you wish to go to the Pudding Club, booking must be made well in advance.

Dieses kleine Haus ( ehemaliges Kutscherhaus) ist sehr gut ausgestattet und blitzsauber. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns der hübsch angelegte kleine Garten, in dem man bis spät abends die Sonne genießen kann. Die freundliche Vermieterin ist äußerst bemüht, einem den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Bei unserer Ankunft fanden wir einen gefüllen Kühlschrank und ein Körbchen mit Süßigkeiten vor. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hierher kommen.
