Newly built [2003] in traditional Cotswold stone-style. Decor finished to a high standard with oak doors and finishing throughout. Double beds in 2 bedrooms (ensuite shower rooms) with twins in the other two bedrooms. Easy to use and well-finished kitchen. In the warm weather enjoy a drink or evening meal on the decking overlooking a stream, in the colder weather enjoy the stove fire. Within the estate activities include birdwatching (3 hides), fishing, non-motorized water sports, swimming (outdoor heated pool from April 1 to October 31), tennis and walking.

The house is located within Mill Village upon the Lower Mill Estate and within walking distance of the village of Somerford Keynes. Cirencester, a lovely town, is approximately 7-8 miles away with both Waitrose and Tesco supermarkets located on its outskirts. Oaksey, approximately 3 miles away, has a public golf course. The house is situated near a large peaceful lake on a 450 acre private estate (with 7 lakes of its own and the River Thames running through the estate) within the Cotswold Water Park. All water sports, golf, riding and many other activities are available locally. Alternatively, there are peaceful walks, cycling, birdwatching, pubs or sightseeing in nearby Cirencester, Cheltenham or a little further afield in the picturesque Cotswold villages and Bath.

We had a lovely time, the house is well equipped, clean and in a very nice development with lots to do. We had a great dinner at the pub in the local village too.

'Plush'! 'Grand so'! 'Home from Home'! A few of the descriptions we would use for this cottage. 5 of us were in the area for a working placement for 3 weeks and decided to live a little better! It was fabulous, everything as descibed in the information and the owner was always contactable if required. His welcome text was a good touch. The area was superb, the sauna made for good relaxation - shame the pool was closed. Due to us all travelling over most of Gloucestershire, we discovered many shops, pubs etc. and even did a day trip to Birmingham! Overall, the cottage suited our needs and we will definitely recommend it to fellow friends & colleagues.

Wonderful place to stay.

We stayed at the property for 3 nights to celebrate my best friends 40th birthday. The property is of a very high standard and on a lovely secure gated complex.

As the designated cook for the holiday it helped that the kitchen contained really good appliances and everything from cookware to serving dishes. The comfy living area opens on to a lovely deck which we made good use of as the weather was perfect.

As just two couples we only used two of the four bedrooms but all four were of a high standard with good quality bed linen and feather duvets. Both doubles have their own ensuite and small balcony and there is a larger full bathroom and a downstairs toilet.

Communication from the owner was excellent and it was thoughtful that he sent a text the evening we arrived to make sure everything was satisfactory.

The complex is lovely and maintained to the highest standard and the Cotswolds are beautiful. I would highly recommend this property.

4 bedroomed cottage on Cotswold Water Park

This is a great little cottage for a family. The Cotswold Water Park offers a huge range of facilities for everyone, the cottage is ideally suited for Cirencester. The weather was not great during the week that we were there and we needed to find things for the children to do that were inside. There is a great soft play venue within 20 minutes drive. When the weather was good we used the pool, tennis court, trampoline and football area on site.

The cottage itself is excellently appointed with everything a family needs for a week. It was clean and well looked after, with really good appliances, cutlery and crockery. Not the usual cobbled together assortment at all!! The outside area was lovely for eating on when the rain stopped.

My only concern was the lack of barriers between the verandah area and the little brook at the back of the cottage. We had to fashion barriers to prevent the toddler getting to the water, and I think that, as the property is marketed as being family-friendly, this one aspect needs to be looked into.

All in all a great little cottage for a week away.

Great Holiday Home

This property was ideal for any group. We were a group of 8 adults and found the two smaller bedrooms abit cramped but it was fine for a long weekend. The other bedrooms were very spacious and the house had plenty of bathrooms. The open planned downstairs was very comfortable and well stocked. There was an outside area which was lovely and had a small stream running by,
I would definately return to this property and would recommend to families
The facilities at the site were very good with a lovely pool and plenty for everyone to do. The shop was small but had stock of most things - make sure you prebook any newspapers!
