Such a glamorous name, for this converted cowshed!! Converted from two 17th & 19th Century barns into a truly a fabulous experience with 21st century comforts! The enormous master bedroom has exposed stone walls and high ceiling, furnished with an 18th Century king-size Italian bed and is large enough to accommodate 2 extra beds. Leading from it are its own en suite shower and staircase to the fully enclosed mezzanine twin bedroom. A doorway from the master connects to the red barn with *2 x sofa bed chair* and huge living space, high ceilings showing exposed timbers, furnished in a rustic yet inviting style, original flagstone floor, wood burning stove,warm and luxurious. A smart kitchen to entice culinary skills with large dining table which seats 8 to really feast off. Large comfortable sofas -that you'll never want to leave! It really is a room with a view.

We stayed a delightful week in June 08. Everything was as presented. Very clean, well appointed, quiet, with stunning views. Pool was clean and warm. Walking paths just off the property. Owners were friendly and helpful. Dog was delightful.

Perfect New Year Venue

We found the location perfect for those seeking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life; with the barn located in a peaceful Cotswold village, with unobstructed views of the rolling fields and hills at the end of the garden.

It provided our group with an ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside and villages, with Bath and Bristol close by for those wanting a little more activity.

The accommodation was well suited for our needs - with the open fire and large dinning table and kitchen area providng a great setting for our New Year celebrations. The bedroom and bathroom arrangements worked well for our group of friends also.

The accommodation was perfectly presented upon arrival, enhanced by the provision of warm mulled wine and freshly baked minced pies brought to us by the owner.

We look forward to returning in the summer months to make use of the pool and outdoor space!

OVERPRICED & DIRTY - NOT RECOMMENDED

Description inaccurate and misleading. Property was absolutely flithy. Appliances, crockery and general upkeep of the property was awful. Horrendously overpriced in current state. Photos misleading. Pool only available at limited times to suit the owners. A horrible plastic table cover hides the beautiful table you see in the picture! En-suite bathroom all damp and plaster falling off. The garden was a horrible sloped postage stamp size bit of long freshly cut grass. Couldn't wait to get home. No customer service provided, not even an apology!
Owner's Response: Further to the review posted on 16 december, here is the clarity on this matter;
1. The property is clean and tidy - indeed it takes some 4 hours of cleaning in between guests. Whilst we do our best, one must appreciate that it is a period property combining almost 500 years in age, as such it will from time to time attract the odd daddy long legs. - we removed the 2 offending fellows swiftly.
2. The renter also received at the booking time, 1 night extra without charge - which they were happy to take.
3. Photos are reflective of this property - the dining table was EXTREMELY valuable and the cloth referred to is high quality John lewis in excellent condition. Table is now replaced with a larger construction, seats up to 10.
3. Bathroom wall is not damp - it has some salt deposits coming through which is common with old properties not designed for plastering.
4. Crockery has replaced immediately on return form holiday with plane white.
5. The property is in the Cotswolds - so naturally it slopes with the the natural lay of the land! - This is common sense - It is of a good size - extending to a large tarmac drive and gravelled courtyard ( approx half an acre of grounds) PLUS a 4 acre field - something I believe is missing in suburbia. It was the wettest summer on record hence the grass was long - mowers do not like the wet or long grass.
6. The pool on this occassion was made available ,as we were away all day 10 - 4.-- outisde these times maintenance etc is carried out which is dangerous and hazardous to guests.
76. We went on our planned holiday -as discussed at time of booking in April - checking on guests before departing - no further gripes were mentioned. - Contact Numbers of housekeeper and keyholder were also left, they laso had our mobiles .
