This is a charming cottage slap bang in the middle of the lovely English village of Chipping Campden. It's small, but perfectly maintained with not too much clumpy furniture cluttering up the place. The log fire provides a romantic heat, but the real warmth comes from central heating which is throughout the property so if you're thinking of a winter or autumn break, this cottage is cosy then too. The two bedrooms are perfect for two couples sharing the cottage or for two friends who like a big bed to crash out in at night. There were three of us, so two of us bunked in together, which, given that the bed in the main bedroom is a super kingsize bed, was no problem at all, and the third in our trio had the other bedroom which had a good 3/4 double.
The bathroom is downstairs and small, but the shower is lovely. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with a microwave, cooker, hob, toaster, kettle and all the crockery and cutlery you might require. The garden is wonderful. Long and narrow, a little stream runs by at the bottom end, and you can sit and play scrabble in the afternoon sun using the wooden garden furniture.
The stairs from the ground floor to the first floor are steep and narrow, so take this into account if you are thinking of taking offspring with you - or indeed anyone who finds going up and down normal stairs hard!
If you do decide to book this cottage, you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of it - but make sure you read the instructions for Key Getting really closely - it's easy to get a bit confused tracking down the Farm where the key is kept - or that could just be me...
