Rear garden with 'HOT TUB’ off street parking.There is a lockable gate across drive, completely enclosing rear garden from road,for added security for pets/children.Bus route to Canterbury, Herne Bay and Whitstable, famous for Oysters! Royal St. Georges GOLF Course & cinque ports of Sandwich, approx.15 miles, Ports of Dover /Folkestone, approx 30MILE easy driving distance for trips across the channel to France. The cottage is ideal base for touring,with train stations to London Victoria approx.75 mins.Herne Bay and Canterbury has full range of shopping facilities as well as the famous Cathedral and other Historic Buildings,+Theatre,and boasts excellent restaurants within the City Walls. The Beautiful Beaches at Margate ,Broadstairs,and Ramsgate are within 30 minutes drive.

5 Miles from the city centre and cathedral in CANTERBURY,3 miles to the coastal resort of HERNE BAY, and WHITSTABLE famous for OYSTERS and fresh fish which you can buy in the harbour. There is a Saturday market in Herne Bay, Thursday market in Whitstable, Friday market in Canterbury. The village of HERNE which is a 15minute walk away, has a small village shop, Beautiful church, and 2 pubs serving good quality meals, there are lots of green spaces for walking , the common with a small woodland area, further there is a Wildlife park ,about 10mins by car. CANTERBURY has a sports centre with swimming pool, as does Herne Bay.

Lovely Cottage - beautyful garden

Nice and very well maintained cottage with a beautyful garden. The welcome package is a great idea. It's great to survive the first morning after a late arrival.

Tip:
We visited London 4 days during our stay, because it was so easy. Direct train from Herne Bay to Victoria Station every 20 Mins. We paid very resonable ~42GBP for 2 adults + 1Cild for a return ticket + London Tube Tickets for the whole day. The offer included 2 for 1 vouchers for most of the London tourist attraktions.

We will come back!

This is a beautiful cottage to rent and is of a high standard,the only drawback is that it is on a main road, but it did not spoil our stay as we were out most days, as the location is very central to a lot of places including Canterbury.
There is a hot tub in the garden that can be rented ,and is well worth the little extra.
The owner provided a welcome pack which was most appreciated and very thoughtful.
Communication with the owner was excellent.

A very lovely cottage

It was the first time we spent our holidays in the UK and staying at this cottage made it a great succes! The house, the garden and the environment were lovely.
We wrote in the guestbook that is was better than we expected. Everything was clean and well-maintained.
There is a bus stop right in front of the house, so it is not necessary to come by car.
We would recommend this house to everyone, but not to very tall people, because some door openings are very low.
