For those more energetic there are a multitude of cycle and walking opportunities as well as water sports, golf and fishing. The Royal St.Georges Golf Course & cinque ports of Sandwich are approx. 15 miles. With the Ports of Dover /, Folkestone, within easy driving distance, for trips across the channel to France. Honey Cottage and Honey Lodge[[[log cabin avail April 2010]]] are ideal bases for touring, with train stations to London Victoria approx. 55 minutes. Herne Bay and Canterbury have a full range of shopping facilities as well as the famous Cathedral and other Historic Buildings, Theatre, and boasts excellent restaurants within the City Walls.

Blean is located just 3 miles from the Catherdral city of Canterbury, in semi rural countryside, country lanes and woodland for walking,and yet not isolated .A bus stops along the road from the cottage and the Lodge enabling you to get to all the surrounding villages, towns and beaches of Herne Bay and Whitstable. The medieval town of Faversham is approx 20mins away,as is Margate,Ramsgate,Broadstairs. There are several golf courses within 10mins drive. Supermarkets in Canterbury and Whitstable 10mins. Local village shop in Blean within 10 minutes walking distance-.If you want to see a magnificent beach sunset whilst enjoying a fabulous meal then visit the Pearson’s Arms public house in Whitstable only 3 miles from the Cottage .Our recomendation for a fantastic meal is The Coach and Horses in Harbledown, 5min drive 'Superb!'

Honey Cottage : This romantic cottage is everything you imagine a secluded, quiet, getaway to be and more.... Having been refurbished to a high standard. From the driveway walk through the gate and your holiday begins. Why not relax and unwind in the hot tub with a glass of bubbles

The Coach House: Explore Kents Coast line either on foot or bike whilst staying at beautiful period house, approx 300 years old. Why not stop for a picnic by the sea or a bite to eat at the local pub.

There are numerous walks and bridle paths throughout the area. Riding stables are nearby; trout fishing and a nine hole golf course are within a few minutes drive. There are many pubs and restaurants offering local produce and real ale within a 6 mile radius. The City of Canterbury and its historic cathedral are within easy reach (2 miles). The Channel Tunnel is 10 miles away making day trips to France easy as the crossing takes approximately 35 minutes. There are numerous castles and places of interest to visit all along this historic coast, notably Dover Castle with its dungeons, intact battlements and underground World War II caves. There are many sandy beaches with easy access along the Kent coast and you may often find fisherman selling their fresh catch direct from their boats. Explore Kents Coast line either on foot or bike whilst staying at beautiful period house, approx 300 years old. Why not stop for a picnic by the sea.

Small but perfectly formed, we all loved the cottage, the garden and especially the hottub. It was a great base for exploring Kent. The only problem is that the kids now want a hot tub from Santa. Many thanks.

Another fantastic stay at Honey Cottage

Second family holiday with our now toddler, great place to stay with children all on one level so that helps with a toddler. Welcome basket wonderful again, champagne a much needed drink after a long journey. Again very clean and tidy and a nice added surprise of the travel cot for our little one. Will defintely be booking again. Recommend the pub up the road only 30 seconds walk away very handy and Whitstable is great for exploring and shopping.

Fun at the hot tub house

The house is quiant and comfortable with easy reach to Whitstable or Canterbury. As the house is not in the town however it is a peaceful holiday residence. The garden is amazing. Our kids lived in the hot tub night and day. Us adults had to vitually book to get a turn. The treehouse was a perfect fun hideaway for them. What made the holiday really special was the way the owners accommodated our needs, They were friendly and attentive and left us a wonderful basket of goodies on our arrival. Our kids can't wait to go back next year.

Everything about this holiday was excellent, the cottage just gave us as a family to spend quality time in a peaceful and quiet location. The cottage was clean and quiet, the sofa was fantastic and access to the internet a massive bonus. We have already recommended to friends and family, and they also remarked at how relaxed and well we looked. Michelle and Chris were very welcoming and helpful with a welcoming basket that was so generous and well selected. The hot tub was a massive hit with the kids, if only they would shower/bath at the same rate that they jumped in there! We were able to explore nearby places and Canterbury was a big hit with the kids, Canterbury tales, the river, the Cathedral all accommodated our blind son without fuss or commotion, We had a really great holiday and we will be back, hopefully next August. The description was accurate but a bit smaller than we expected. Very clean and well maintained. Owner provided good customer service and the hot tub and welcome pack were great!
