This idyllic North Cotswold, Grade II listed, detached stone & thatch cottage is typical of the many dwellings which line the main street of the well kept, country village of Wroxton. Recently renovated, the cottage has a heavily beamed lounge with inglenook fireplace, a well equipped cottage kitchen, downstairs bathroom with bath & separate shower. Main bedroom with double bed affording view of the village pond; space for extra single put-u-up bed. 2nd double bedroom. The property provides and ideal place for comfort and relaxation. It is situated next to the village pond, with its unique thatched duck house and is strolling distance to either of the two village pubs. For those who are feeling energetic there are beautiful walks in the grounds of Wroxton Abbey and plenty of paths along the Oxford canal. Centrally located for visiting the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-avon, Warwick, Birmingham and approx 60 mins from London

Wroxton could not be more conveniently placed for exploring this much admired part of central England. It is situated on the northern edge of the Cotswolds, 3 miles from Banbury, within easy driving distance of both Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon and approx. 90 minutes drive from London. There are many pretty Cotswold villages to visit in the surrounding area as well as two of England foremost historic buildings, Warwick Castle & Blenheim Palace.

My husband and I and another couple spent a wonderful week here in the fall of 2006. Everything was as we were told it would be; everything worked and the cottage was spotless. We especially liked the cat who visited us every day as though he owned the place! We were able to explore the countryside and feel as though we belonged there. We couldn't have been happier with the bargain!

The date of our stay below is not correct; we couldn't choose a date from 2006.
